Most of the other hints are classes we see garleans using, beastmaster being one of them.

Why do people always seem to pin all of Geomancers identity on one npc in the AST job quests while ignoring the entire Four Lords arc and Swallows Compass?

There are two forms of Geomancy in XIV, Hingan and Yanxian. Hingan is the type tgat was vaguely compared to Astromancy, and Hingan Geomancy has received a fraction of the coverage of Yanxian.
