Some visual indicator whether the player you're targeting has their LB is all that would be needed. The AoE on Zantetsuken is pretty small, so unless the SAM has you targeted, you can fairly safely poke it from a distance.
I don't know if it still holds true, but a SCH could definitely survive a zantetsuken with full HP if you debuffed the Sam first and then shielded yourself.
Don't know if that's still possible though and having full HP isn't that common anyways.
As a SCH main in Frontlines, where Bio triggers Chiten (aka optimal play)...
Let's just say I did die some times from a Sam I didn't even know that was there from a dot that hit them in narnia accidentally...
100% should definitely not be a thing in Frontlines, as there is too much going on.
By that note, 95% on chainsaw pretty much still is 100% because they can just poke you and then nuke you with it.
Coming from somebody who is on the receiving end of the low % of the 95% a lot...

You'd think that, yet I've had more than a few instances where a SAM somehow instantly switches target to me and LBs the moment I trigger chiten, even in the middle of fighting other people.
An indicator for charged LBs would be really nice though.
I see this now but Chiten procs on aoes.
They only have to be AoE'd by you to procc chiten on you, autotargeting does target the person who attacks you first usually and like, if they are in a pile, which can happen in Frontlines, they just have to target one person to kill multiple, zantetsuken doesn't care if you are targeted or not
Add ninja to the list of jobs that are completely unbalanced in frontlines since it completely ignores the damage reduction that melees and tanks are supposed to have in that mode, if you're under 50% HP you are dead. Meanwhile LBs from Summoner, Dragoon, Redmage, etc are all still affected by the 60% damage reduction that tanks and melees have.It is one of those things where, it's too easy to look at whether or not counterplay exists. That is obvious.
It is better to ask if the counterplay is fun, or well-designed within the context of the game. And that is where it is a detriment to PvP. Even what they did with Chainsaw is unacceptable, and both that and Zantetsuken should be revised.
Yeah limit breaks just feel bad to use on anyone other than casters and ranged since they increased damage reduction on melee. Unless you're a ninja, ofc.Add ninja to the list of jobs that are completely unbalanced in frontlines since it completely ignores the damage reduction that melees and tanks are supposed to have in that mode, if you're under 50% HP you are dead. Pretty sure the solution was figured out 5 months ago, when people realised you could just not hit the samurai during chiten.
