Viera Feet - Aren't they supposed to be digitigrade?

That's just the art style in this particular case, canonically they've always looked the way they do in FFXII and (debatably) FFXIV. Though, funnily enough, there's concept art from back in HW of tiny Viera!

All of those designs came out before FFXII. FFXII is just an adaptation of the original from FFTA, there's no "canon" Viera.

Hell, Viera only have white hair because of a minor story point in FFTA where one of the characters who was born with white hair dyes it because she was bullied over it and when she gets sucked into Ivalice, she hangs out with the Viera who all have white hair. Later in the game, a Viera helps her get over her thing about her hair color and she has it white again in the epilogue.

Before FFTA, the Ivalice setting didn't even have races that weren't humans.

I'm so excited for what's coming in the graphics update... Something tells me they will update the toes, otherwise it's just going to look out of place imo.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but that's how I am with most things as of late in terms of updates. I do hope this graphics update will be good, and allow for more, quality, customization in the future.

It's possible. I think I remember Y'shtola being the only model with actual toes and no sandals just because of the cutscenes where she is summoned out of the aether in the nude. In ShB, the other Scions were laying in bed with sandals on but she was barefoot.

I'm nitpicking for funsies so don't dwell too much on it. At best we only had a reference to "The Winged Ones", future instalments in Ivalice just happened to give a hint as to what they were. The first two Ivalice games, Tactics and Vagrant Story, don't show anything other than humans and sentient creatures like the Lucavi. These are only mentioned in the Wonders menu.

I do hope it is, it would be a bit odd to have higher fidelity characters, but still have our current.. "toes".

I would love a painted toenail options, similarly my favorite handgear in the game is False Nails. I don't really know how possible that would be however. Maybe future sandal or heel outfit pieces can have that as a dyeable option, if they increase the quality of our toes.

False Nails is my main reason for doing the Ananta tribal quests. I would love to have the equivalent for feet, but not as part of sandal: I want it barefoot (and up on the balls of the feet for Viera fems). I think that would make for a crazy fine Dancer glam.

100% barefoot works for Rapunzel in Tangled so why not dream?

[Edit: speaking of "up on the balls of the feet," long ago I was part of a morris dance troupe, and in morris dancing, you're supposed to never let your heels touch the ground during the dance. It was very cardio, which was good, since one of our traditional activities was a pub crawl, with dancing in front of each pub.]

A full barefoot option, rather than the permanent sandals tied to our feet would be great! It would be nice to have the same with painted toenails as well, most definitely. That could make for a nice variety of glamour ideas! In a perfect world we could separately paint our toenails and also change between our footwear.

Heck, if you can make a bikini glam without worrying about wardrobe malfunctions in battle, then fighting barefoot is hardly farfetched in comparison.
