that's what I was looking for, thanks for putting it out like that. I'm going to manually collect for the xp and continue getting crop xp as well until rank 10 and then just ignore the animals once my stack of food is gone.I'm planning to take the same lazy "occasional check-in for direct selling, no workshop" approach and unless I'm missing something, it seems to me that animals are not worth the fee to look after them – and not worth feeding, which is dreadful at an RP level but perfectly acceptable at a game-mechanics level.
Not counting feeding them, the base level is that you pay 10c per day to acquire one item worth 12c. If the mammets will continue collecting leavings after the food supply runs out, this is a profit, though a very slow one.
If you feed them the basic vegetables, that's one serve a day made from two vegetables you could have sold for about 10c, for an unreliable chance of getting double leavings. That means 20c in, chance of 12-24c out.
Premium feed requires 20c of vegetables plus 10c care fee for maximum of 24c sales. Unwinnable.
So really the care service is only useful for people who intend to do crafting with the leavings. By contrast the vegetable crops still make a profit when paying the mammets to look after them – about 15c per crop, averaging 150c income per day.
For now I'm paying the mammets because I already crafted a stack of food and there's no use for it besides feeding it to the animals, but once that runs out I think just running the granary missions and crop management is enough, drop in once a week or so to manage those, and only collect from the animals manually while I'm there.

Well the automation will deffinately be handy if at some point in time you might some RL plans or a trip that might keep you away from the game a couple days or so, especially if you know ahead of time

It's very useful that the mammets can collect 10 days worth of animal droppings and 20 days worth of crops. I can't be bothered to check on them every day and have hours go to waste if I'm at work or something.
It needs a collect all button though.

I don't see the problem but then again I played a ton of Disgaea. The flow of collecting your items in the IS does feel like issuing commands for each unit in that series. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, lol.

Hell especially the crops because they actually mature 48 hrs after planting where everything else basically become ready at 4am, my time. That alone has me thinking to just put the plants on automation rather then try to stop everything or hold up doing my roulettes just to try to maximize my plants.
Yea, having an au'ra or miqote cat girl would be so good lol, anything other than those mammots.
They need to do some ui fixes. Collect all.Let us select the next seed for planting. Not sure about the animals as I manually collect leavings due to me switching out animals to get a good stock of every kind.
