If it makes you feel better, it's worth noting that Ran'jit is given his due as a raid boss, in E11S. The Fatebreaker is essentially a fusion of both Ran'jit and Thancred as Mitron attempts to draw out Ryne's greatest fears, and you'll see both of their signature attacks (as well as Ran'jit's dragon) make an appearance.

Fatebreaker had great music, too. I wonder if that could be why Ran'jit's body disappeared from Eulmore, come to think?

Oh, I was talking about the raising of the Virtues, not Ran'jit, sorry about that. I don't see how the Warriors Of Darkness wouldn't be just bones by then, or at most in very, very rough shape.

As others mentioned, death on the first is very..weird. Or rather there are a large number of urban legends on it, especially regarding the fey in Il Mheg. The people of Raktika seem to believe the dead are connected to what I could only guess was Materia.

There really is no telling.

Regarding Fatebreaker, like many of the Eden trials, it is based on Ryne’s imagination and not using materials of existing creatures. Like we described lightning creatures such as Ramuh and Ixion and she just fused them in her imagination.

I also want to believe it is canon that the WoL says “yeah Titan hits like a truck”, and thus 4x4 Titan came to be.

Yoshi-P gave an actual explanation for this one, which if anything might be even sillier than what you thought.

His explanation was that Thancred's mentionof landslides sent the WoL going down a train of thought that led to them remembering the Illuminati's tanks.

lol... wow.. it makes me grin thinking about how much time was wasted on a meeting for them to decide something like that, as if they really needed to justify what they saw as a fun/cool idea for a fight.

I personally imagined it was a byproduct of the WoL recalling the Garlean drill tank from Ghimlyt Dark whilst they were musing over things with an affinity for earth.

I can't decide if the Leviathan explanation was better or worse: that it's been so long since the WoL fought Leviathan (genuinely true, actually the member of the Original Six that the WoL last saw longest ago) that while they rembembered the mechanic where it attacked with both its head and tail, they forgot that it was the head and tail and conflated it with some of the two-headed serpents we've fought since.

I want to believe all of Eden was the result of a dev sitting down and explaining the primals to their 6 year old kid, with daddy taking notes furiously.
