    Another Patch another middle finger to DRKs

    SE Dev's: Drk's don't get as much self-sustain because they do the most damage out of all the tanks
    Also SE Dev's: Let's boost the damage of all the other tanks.....................

    But don't forget they made it so that button we rarely press no longer kills us after being in the game for 4 years

    Nothing was needed for that patch, i think they had more urgent matters than polishing jobs if anything.
    We are in a good spot, so don't be greedy.
    Doing a patch 2 weeks after savage release, speaks by itself : it was a panic patch so yeah.

    You know... except being the highest damage tanks, getting almost every rework you've ever asked for in 6.1, and having almost every raid's damage output balanced around DRK's magic damage masochism fetish.

    Getting every re-work? Have you seen the mega thread that's dominated this board since the expac? We had alot of issues we were hoping they would fix and instead this expac release gutted us. We've constantly had moves stripped from us, mechanics lazily bolted on from other classes. The past 2 patches warriors and paladins got dps increases, would it have been too hard to address the self-sustain issues of Drks? literally give a us a minor heal on our aoe rotation, or anything? Warriors weren't that far behind Drks on damage, I wonder how close they'll be now. We're literally blue DPS taken as off tanks for TBN to be used on the main tank, our entire class is literally for the sake of one button otherwise it would just be GNB tanks.

    Funny how you gloss over the magic damage part of that, the most important part of the whole thing.
    You're also pretty clueless saying that DRKs are exclusively off-tanks... despite the fact that this would be a complete waste of Dark Mind, one of their strongest cooldowns, in most fights.

    Yes because balancing classes against savage raids is a really good idea, instead of actually making classes fun to play.

    Perfectly reasonable to ask for other tanks for have some Magic damage mitigation too instead of lapping up the crap we're all given.
    Drk's and GNB are the meta for savage because of their DPS output but they play like crap everywhere other than sweaty savage runs. We're tanks, the solution isn't upping tank damage. The solution is stop making tanks Blue DPS and actually balance your boss fights and classes to be mechanics driven instead of DDR with DPS

    That's just how the game is.
    There are plenty of other games out there that don't follow the "Everyone is DPS + Other thing" design. Maybe try one of them instead of asking this game to be something it's not.

    Firstly, the game wasn't always in this state, love the defeatist mentality though.

    Secondly there are genuine issue with the DRk that are literally just ignored, the justification for lack of util for Drks was the damage but when you actually look at it the dps difference is pretty marginal between the tanks. So, explain why Drks still need no util, explain why our self-sustain moves were ripped away, explain why C&S was put on a share CD with AD. Explain why our entire class identity has been removed and replace with bolted on mech from warrior and machinist.

    Pala had block and util but the lowest dps
    WaRs had good DPS and high heal pool
    Drks were a middle ground on health but with higher dps and debuffs, we used to blind, reduce damage, parry to mitigate.

    In a bid to solve the issue of a meta tank comp, instead of playing into tanks identities using mechanics to make all tanks valid, they thought the solution to people having a meta tank was to crush the uniqueness in favour of turning tanks into blue DPS, the only problem is that doesn't fix anything as sweaters then just take the tanks with the highest dps output. You're back to the original issue again but this time with less identities. When you're not running the highest end of content alot of your classes feel underpowered because you balanced them around world firsters, I seem to remember another game that did this and it led to it's player bases turning on it.
