6.0 SMN is how I feel about the entire expansion. All style and no substance.
Can't wait for the new caster DPS that has DoTS and is OG SMN. Maybe they will call it Necromancer.
I vastly prefer the Primal spells on BLU over what SMN has.
But appreciate the gift Yoshi P has given us which is a braindead faceroll job for easy MSQ progression.
The other day I was in a party of all summoners; oh boy. That was a hoot.
I still wish we got to pick and choose what summons we wanted to summon and that each one did a different thing rather than be implemented directly in the rotation as it is now where it is repetitive af. Doesn't exactly make summoning the primals that special, just...idk, whatever it is now.

This is about the only time I like that SMN and SCH are connected since they lobotomised SCH, I get to level SCH and get a braindead easy DPS for solo instances and duties where I don’t feel like spamming broil 4 for 20 minutes straight6.0 SMN is how I feel about the entire expansion. The only subject I'd like to touch is the effect of summon, mainly Titan and Ifrit, since those are the only ones that use bright colours over the whole screen. In some instances it's even worse, since you can't zoom out as much as you'd like and are forced to look at the flashbomb in all its glory.
I didn't mean to start a discussion about all other spells/mages, how better/worse the new summoner is, so if everyone could please stay on topic.

Honestly the animation and "room wide" effect looks like it was lifted from HOH's magicite summons.
But unfortunately, unless they decide to take things down a notch, it seems it's on the player to turn down their own settings. But I also noticed something too, the brightness and lighting in older cutscenes are definitely "off". If you look at the SHB cutscenes in "certain scenes" there are brightness effects that are a lot more intense than they were years before.
It may be an added factor why the summon's effect is more distracting than everything else.
Titan and Ifrit make Red Mage blush. It's like having very frequent RDM LB3's going off. You can't see anything but orange...which is the same color of the AOEs you have stay out of.

Because flash is all it has, and without it people will be forced to judge it on what little remains. The fact that the animations are so incessant and obnoxious only makes it easier to advocate for.
The rework into its current state does not sit well with everyone.
They should also consider hiding the summons entirely with effects set to Off. They're pretty much the only thing that's still visible.
