    I've been trying to queue for it at peak times in my DC but not seen it up once since the patch. I don't really like Rival Wings much compared to Frontline (not being able to read the mech abilities without a mouse sucks) but I was hoping to check it out again to see what had been rebalanced. It's funny that the current PVP series rewards are themed around it while the mode seems completely inaccessible!

    Oh wow. I did sort of expect something like this as it is such a difference from the other modes. Sounds like it's just more death while everyone jockeys for the train and ignore the team that's doing that and wrecking towers. Such a shame that two of the PVP rewards this series (or whatever) are the blue and red Cruise Chasers from this mode.

    I played few more matches yesterday thanks to the Revival Discord weekend events. There are three things they can/should adjust.

    1. Remove LB bonus from K.Os and Assists.
    2. Remove the increased LB generation from having 20 Soaring Stacks/Flying High Status
    3. Change what the Gobbiejuice provides. At the moment you get 1 soaring stack and a full LB gauge from it. Replace the LB reward with something else. My suggestion would be a buff that reduces damage taken by 20% that lasts for 45-60 seconds. This change would also apply to Gobcrates since they have all three train rewards combined into one.

    They can do all three things, two things or just one. I would be happy with RW if they did point 2 and/or point 3.

    While it can happen, it's more rare than I first realized. In order for SMN to have Bahamut and Phoenix summoned at the same time, you need to time it with the train. If the train will provide either Gobbiejuice or Gobcrate, you can use your LB just before the capture gauge reaches 100% and get a full LB gauge immediately after. Assuming at least one of your party members is at the train platform.

    Got it to pop today and man I need to figure out how to filter targets. Still the only reason why I don't like the mode. And man LBs really do be popping

    It does need more love and by love I mean more attention via participation. As I said even before they turned the mode off to work on it supposedly so that it would work nicely with our current pvp kits it didn't get much attention. I remember how recently someone said I think it was CC not getting enough people playing it cause it was somehow hidden. Or maybe it was about the Feast even though both are at the top of their tab in the DF menu. Rival Wings however has no roulette as there is only one active mode atm. I wonder if they will ever bring back the other map. It is also at the bottom of the PvP tab. Then the mode just so different from the others.

    I mean you have CC which now has a clear cut objective and people understand better why collecting the few things two of the map allows you to collect is a good thing to do. Then there's Frontlines where again each mode tends to have a clear understanding of what the objectives on each map are. Even if I loathe Seal Rock mostly just due to always getting the one team that spreads out too much, feeds the other two teams while not caring about protecting the team's claim on any of the nodes.

    Meanwhile Rival Wings even before its return from hiatus had/has some confusing aspects. Like I know I should pop a mech occasionally but I never remember which one I should be using at times. Most matches I get people who live and die about capturing the train and will yell at you if you're not also fixated on the damn thing. Then there is the need to collect fuel so you can use the mechs when there isn't a train to fight over. I understand the bare bones of the mode which is kill the towers and then the core of the other team. While also killing the mammets as if ignored they will slowly but surely also destroy said main objectives.

    As for which mech to use.

    - Cruise Chaser is meant for other players and mechs. They do little damage to mammets and towers/core
    - Oppressor is meant for towers/core. Don't use them for defense.
    - Brute Justice is good for everything. While the beam and flamethrower attacks do good damage against players and mechs, they are worthless on towers/core. The Rocket Punch attack do decent damage on everything and can stunlock players if they don't have purify off cooldown.
