On the one hand, it's highly plausible, since Japan is VERY fond on that stupid "monster male, sexy kemonomimi female" trope, I think they're even the ones who invented it?

On the other hand, these are also the same people going out of their way to make crossdressing in game possible, and created the first iteration of male Viera.

If they already broke the status quo before, they can do so again.... that said, given how male Hroths have been treated, I don't really have my hopes up anymore, if I'm being honest - I'd like to be proven wrong though.

even if it were true, there are a decent number of people playing them, and they deserve the same quality as the rest of us. besides, depending on how they design female hrothgar, i bet it will attract all sorts of people.

I don't understand the whole "they shouldn't be in XIV" because it's already confirmed they're coming whether people like it or not.

I have always preached this, but the Female Hrothgar should be just as beast-like as their counterpart. We have many overly attractive races, short races and cutesy UWU races etc... The only people who haven't been catered to are those who wish to play a beast-like female race, they are the missing piece of this MMO puzzle.

Male Viera were dropped as a surprise during the first Endwalker showcase, and after the teaser was shown, they mentioned that female Hrothgar will also get added in the future. As of now, it's unclear if they intend for it to come out during EW or with 7.0, though I would lean toward 7.0 to anticipate them. I would wager that info on female Hrothgar will be announced during whichever live letter details information about the upcoming patch. For example, if they are added in 6.4, it would probably be the live letter that comes out a few weeks prior, though if it is in fact occuring during the 7.0 release, then you can probably expect the teaser during the first 7.0 Showcase.

Well I think this is more of a special case. Originally as of the launch of Shadowbringers, male viera and female hrothgar were not going to be added to the game because additional races and genders create exponential effort, effort that adds work to every new set of gear, emote, job animation, etc. It was the community outcry for male viera and female hrothgar that convinced them to make it a reality, and we didn't have an NPC to promote the release of male viera as it was dropped as a surprise. That said, we do know that female hrothgar are planned already, so it's unclear how they'll approach the eventual release.
