If afk'ing is a problem with server access they will and should adjust the timer. I suspect it was more an issue at release than it is now.

Why would you focus on a solution which you have absolutely no control of?
It doesn't go against the point of its existence at all. I suspect you don't understand why the developers created the content. It wasn't to give you a pretty spot to AFK in.
If you're tired of being kicked for AFK, don't AFK for 30 minutes or don't be logged in if you're going to AFK for over 30 minutes. It's hardly disruptive to your game relaxation when you're not even at your keyboard to be playing the game.
Oh really? Do tell us exactly what the content was for then? Imagine doing something as selfish as laying about enjoying the scenery waiting for the next time-gate to roll around... outrageous!
I am sure if Square told some people it was a good idea to put needles in their eyes before doing certain content they'd be here praising the idea and blaming other gamers for their eyes bleeding.
Square knew how many lvl90 players there were going to be. They could have ensured there was enough resources to cover it, but they chose not to. That's not the fault of any player.

If you were actually enjoying the scenery in your Sanctuary, you wouldn't be kicked for AFK. You'd have at least minor activity that would reset the AFK status.
We're not talking 5-10 minutes after all. We're talking over 30 minutes. That's an awful long time for someone to be staring at the same spot on a monitor or TV without engaging in any activity or having their eyes start to figuratively bleed - no need for your said application of needles.
And no, they couldn't have ensured there would be enough resources for every level 90 player to be in their Sanctuary at the same time. The semi-conductor shortage is a continuing problem that didn't clear up as expected thanks to the war in Eastern Europe. It's why SE had to delay the opening of new NA worlds yet again despite believing at the start of the year that the hardware needed would be delivered in time.
It's very possible that SE will remove the AFK kick later on when activity in Island Sanctuary dies out just as they eventually remove the AFK kick from game for 30 minutes of inactivity added at the start of every expansion once the concurrent log in numbers start to drop. Until then, you'll have to learn to tap something on your keyboard, mouse or controller while you're enjoying your scenery every 25 minutes or so to avoid getting kicked.
The space was designed to interact with or be actively doing things like gpose, chat with friends, craft, etc. It's not there to be a haven for anyone and everyone at all times.
If you're going to AFK, just port to Moraby or let it kick you, literally right next to the NPC that'll send you right back.
Can I afk in my house or garden in a ward or do i have to log or go somewhere else? I don't see a difference they'll all the same server. Can I go make a sandwich or start a pot of coffee? Just how long can I afk before people get upset? The timer is 30 minutes it's not like you can go to sleep there. That's been a pretty standard afk kick timer.
The rush is over now I don't have trouble getting into my place even on Balmung.
Outside of it you don't have an afk kick timer. In there you do, just like you do in Bozja etc. See the difference? If they do that it means that for the servers it's absolutely not the same as afking at your house or in the open world in general. Can I afk in my house or garden in a ward or do i have to log or go somewhere else? And OP's request makes a lot of sense honestly.
Just mouse hover...I know there are many players working on their Island Sanctuary since it's release, but those that decide to AFK on a mount and are kicked out after 30 mins is a problem.
Problem being is those that go afk mounted, sometimes on HUGE mounts then covering the NPC and most players, in Moraby Drydocks. I know, I know you can simply use your shortcut function key to target interactive objects/NPCs, but it's still annoying to have these mounts clustered there.
Might want to do a set up like you did with this years Moonfire Faire where it auto dismounts players that are kicked out on these mounts from Island Sanctuary.
Magnifying glass = player
Speech bubbles = npc
Don't you know that?
