They don't need to time gate stuff like this to keep me playing. That's just dumb, because I'd still be playing. They're just annoying the crap out of me and that makes me want to go do something else.

This seems to be the most common gripe. While it doesn't bother me much, I do wish I could spend more time there instead of waiting the seasons out. Hopefully they plan to add more activities in the future.

Probably same reason as refusal to add guaranteed loot into capstone dungeon. Keeping people around longer. :shrug:

Only Goobbue still eluded me at this point.. so far Alligator was the most ‘expensive’ of all rare animals I’ve tried to capture. They ate a total of 45 soporifics before RNG decides to hand them to me.

At least in my experience, they've always been there except for one time when I'm assuming I ran into the bug (I had entered too early according to the website..). Hopefully that gets patched up soon.

I kinda wish they add mini-games to the island's activity. Like you can observe, emote, and offer feeds to wild animals to increase friendliness with them, thus make it easier to catch them.


Also, why can I not select sugarcane as basic feed? Apple is a pain to farm.

Sadly no. If the thing is spawned after weather changes while you're on the island, a good chance they just don't spawn. You want to get out of the island 4 hours before weather change and come back during the spawn time.

What's one more RNG item in this game? It's the only one in this minigame. I'm amazed at the catastrophic losses though. I usually go through only a handful of restraints before I catch it or it runs away.

It comes down to aesthetics once again. Not having something like Twinklefleece won't hurt your production, so is it really worth getting frustrated over?

Assuming they don't bug out? Yeah. (Already had Goobbue bug out on me once.)
But then you're waiting for right weather to pop at the right time which happens once in a planetary alignment.
And then spawn is probably going to run away, which just adds to the frustration. It's dumb.
