Stop trying to punish people who did nothing wrong. Who bought the house in good faith and spent time, gil, and real cash on it. All of which cant ever be properly compensated for.Owning more than one as well as multiple FC houses, should not be a thing, SE should enforce and remove that feature, with compensation to those few affected.
Equal rights for all, no favorization for anyone, that this grandfathering is, as well as exploiting the current system as well.
I agree there's entire ward's subdivision on Gilgamesh that is owned by 1 person. I don't find it fair that they can do that because thats what 30 houses that could be opened to players? I don't find it fair that almost 30 houses just sit there, all empty not being used because 1 person wants to be a troll.
Buying items in the game for real money is against the TOS. I hope you're not implying these people are engaged in RMT.
I assumed they were talking about the subscription fees. If you only own a few houses you'd be fine with one subscription fee, but the people that have an entire ward full of houses need to have multiple subscriptions. Everyone pays real money for each subscribed account, and that can add up fast when you have that many houses.
Taking houses away from players you deem unworthy of owning them is not going to solve the shortage. It may feel good to get a few hits in on those you have declared to be the "bad guys", but they are not the core of the problem. What's a handful of houses going to do to a shortfall of thousands?
If players had the option to choose between a fully instanced house or a ward house, many of the ills that plague housing would be alleviated. A lot of players would be satisfied with an instanced house. Even those who are really set on getting a ward house would at least have a place to use and design as they try to get a ward house. They would also likely face less competition to get a ward house due to the instanced houses satisfying much of the excess demand. The reduction in demand could also reduce the RMT value of the plots, which would be a very welcome change.

Being grandfathered into an outdated and flawed system is one thing, but the method to acquire multiple houses still exists. There's no excuse for that.
