It kills me that they added this "sanctuary" and of course, they had to put in layers of rng in it. Because that's "fun" I guess? I'm trying to work through this content just for the bike, but an Island Sanctuary it's not. I'm reading online guides to maximize my profits, make sure I'm being as efficient as possible, because otherwise, I'd be spending 10 times longer on the Island.It's just RNG at play unfortunately. RNG stacked atop additional RNG.
Somehow an alligator evaded my capture attempt four times in a row and then on the fifth I caught him.
It's entirely cosmetic so I guess they just want some options to be rare even if that means locking them being artificial scarcity.

They should patch the bugged spawns. I did everything reddit and this forum Said but twinklefleece and the crab are not appearing. Never. Tried everything, being there at spawn, being out and enter, reset the instanced.. nothing works..
They don't need to time gate stuff like this to keep me playing. That's just dumb, because I'd still be playing. They're just annoying the crap out of me and that makes me want to go do something else.
Not sure why you'd not want to make food for them, considering how easy it is to get excess. Assuming you have the farm maxed out, you have 4 rows of 5 crops that can be made. If you have the pen maxed out, you have 20 animals. You only need to feed them the best food once a day, with the cheapest food made with apples the other time of the same day. It takes 2 days for the seeds to grow, and you need 2 of 2 different crops to make the best food (you can use the easiest seeds to gain for this).That's what I do.
I've read on the Forum that feeding the Animals isn't necessary. The give Loot anyway.
If that's true I do not have to farm Food for them. Time saved.
I'll take the Loot they are giving and slowly but surley I will get the Mount. Mission accomplished.
Assuming you use 2 rows for one seed and 2 rows for another, you have 50 of both crops every 2 days. Should you only want to use 40 of each, you'll make 20 of the food, multiplied by the 3 you get for each craft. You're getting 60 of the best food every 2 days, and you only need to feed that best food to the pets once a day. You're making 60 of the food every 2 days, and only using 40 of it. By the end of 10 days, you have 100 of the food in excess. You're working at a massive gain here, there's no point NOT to do it, you're not really going to run out of supplies for it.
If everyone could get it first attempt without effort, it wouldn't be rare and interesting to have.Can someone please explain the point of time gating certain spawns like the Goobbue and then having them run away for days of real time the nanosecond you arrive to try to catch one?
I don't see how this makes Island Sanctuary more fun, it's just obnoxious and frustrating.
It also leaves you with something to look forward to.
You do understand that none of those ultra rares have any leavings that unique? Catching them isn't necessary to be successful at the workshop game.
