What was the point of Lyse?

We’re just cycling through hot takes at this point.

The point of Lyse is to give her a character arc that isn’t just “she’s quirky!?!” It also added more weight to her connection with Ala Mhigo, and room for her to separate herself from the Scions, freeing both to develop and change. Regardless of your feelings about writing I’m StB, it’s a move that has merit.

I'll take "quirky" over the "strong, independent woman" that we got.
