    There's nothing weird about it if you look at what they choose. Like I said, it's all about the progression. They could have easily saved some time and made a ridiculous weapon at 70 so people wouldn't have to think about replacing it on their way to the current tier.

    Thordan is a perfect example of the whole process with trial weapons and how relatively simple the eventual shiny updates are.

    New concepts for the current tier were produced.
    May as well go back and add these with different effects.

    It is pretty ridiculous that they knew these new jobs were going to exist but didn't make weapons for them. It's not like Reaper and Sage were a surprise that came out of nowhere.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    It really is a shame, because I've been hoping for/looking forward to Sage getting the floating hands from Emerald Weapon as Nouliths. It'd be pretty obvious to do.

    Here's hoping that the Relic weapons don't look awful.

    I always have to wonder at comments like these. So you're actively paying money for an extended period of time for something that they never do a good job, and half-ass everything. Why would they change anything if the people that hate what they're doing are still paying them?

    Probably never. When I mentioned the Hades set in a comment, I forgot they actually made that set already, back in 5.5 before the jobs were even out.

    don't you know?? SE is a struggling company that doesn't have its own design team and they can't afford to outsource work!! they can't make new models of weapons!!! It's so hard to model new weapons for them since they obviously have a hard time thinking of new designs. ( You know, having a hard time doing the job that they're supposed to.. poor little SE :/ you can expect it NEVER because they struggle with this so much
