Co-owning an Island (Sanctuary)

I don't think they'd let you co-own but it would be nice if friends could at least gather on the island. Perhaps not cross server but if they are the same one it would turn more of a solo experience into more of a social one.

I go to my friends island and basically sit around while she does her thing. We can chat and stuff but that's about it.

Just a guess on my part I suspect the reason why friends can't gather is that the Sanctuary inventory is tied to the Sanctuary not the player. It seems to be similar to how furnishings are tied to the house/apartment and not the player once placed or put into the Storeroom.

Gathering on a friend's island would add those items to their inventory, not yours. Not a bad thing if you're trying to help out a friend but probably not what most players are really after.
