More likely we will get Miqote + Thighlander Eqyptian Cheetah overlords. But we will see. I feel like they will take the cheap way out and use a femroe skelly and then only offer short hair options and do another Hrothgar Fantasia scam to maximize fantasia sales like they did with Male Horthgar by tying customization and hairstyle to face type.

I don't think that.

1) When Hrothgar males were originally shown they had to cut some head concepts for looking too much like a Miquo'te. The Highlander model doesn't look bad and I wouldn't complain about it as long as they modified it (like how the Male Viera model was made with the skeleton of the Midlander, they do tend to reuse those for ease of animation and coding).

2) They would probably not do that scam again, simply because they are making them with shared hair in mind, which they didn't do with the males and that's why we had to pay for a hair change. Thing is that now they managed to make them work on the males so I don't see why they would shoot themselves in the foot by doing the same mistake twice.

3) Yeah, long hair is probably a nice dream. The longest hairstyle in the game is Great Lengths and that one clips through everything. So they might not go that route, but hey it's still a nice wish and something I have seen some people want. So maybe in the future when we will get an engine upgrade.

I'm just hoping they learned from their past mistakes in that regard. Tying hair to faces was not a good move on their part. But I think the murals dictating what Femgar will look like is probably our best metric in the long term for now since they aren't going to talk about them until 7.0.

Especially with their recent issue of Hrothgar having no ears with certain hairstyles.

In this context. You said that in the picture that I posted were male Hrothgar but with tits. Which I agree are pretty much the same as male Hrothgar. 1 problem though... I did not post a picture of a male Hrothgar with tits, I posted a picture of what a female Hrothgar could look like. It doesn't take a genius to see an interpretation of a female Hrothgar in that picture. So no they are not "pretty much the same" as you imply or later say similar.

Honestly me too. The year problem was thankfully resolved and is a good first step, now they just need to keep working on them, improve the formula and integrated them into the pipeline. I have hopes that F Hrothgar will look good. (not to big, but moderate)

This whole thread is laced with my rambles, but the TL;DR version is "Body shape wise, Horthgals are gonna look like the Bozja Queen (which basically looks like a mix of Viera/ a slimmer and curvier Femroe) and face wise, they're not gonna have the facial diversity of the males and have some elements changed to make a more game friendly balance of beast and human features to accommodate the fact that they're gonna use shared hair.


Longer version? I already posted the body break down of the mural, so I think they will have this body on the left.



We know that Bozja's development was cursed, and we know the only official finalized concept art of "the queen" was as a Hrothgar. One can assume that they planned for her to be a Hrothgal before making her a Femroe, which would explain the unique body for this Femroe NPC. Even ignoring all that and assuming that they never wanted to make her "Hrothgal like", it's still an indication of what they think a better looking Femroe would look like, as there's no reason to change the body so greatly from that of a Femroe.

As for the face, looking at any non-lala race will show you that ... they never give females the level of facial diversity as males. Whereas dudes can look old/ rugged/ handsome/ young/ dangerous or w/e, women generally look like 4 versions of an attractive 20 something woman of their race. Hrothgar have EXTREMELY different faces (so much so that it's to their own detriment) partly because it's harder to tell the difference between two animal faces if they don't look fairly different. I could easily see them making them strike a better balance of animal to beast face features to accommodate hair AND so that they can make 4 different faces without having to go as far as the males. Simply put, I think they will look more "human" (more vertical forehead/ reduced snout) than the males, but will retain their animal features. Because of this, they would look better in hair and also not have to have "Gaint FF thunder cat whiskers!" be a face feature to make a face look different.

What do I read from this?
General Female human face shape, much like the dudes have the general rectangle male face shape consistent with the prominent cheek bones and square jaws found in other males.

Cat like ears.
Indication of a cat like nose
Human eye placement
Prominent female human like lip, chin and jaw
Female human eyebrow area.

So yeah, I think it's in line with what we would get if they replaced the male human face features with that of an arvg female in this game.

I can see that. I like the mural interpretation of the body, the head is pretty much hard to make out from a front view. So there is a possibility of them looking more like house cats in the face... Something like the Egyptian Goddes Bastet? If there was like a side view of them or some snip bit from either Bozjan architecture or the Logs to have a small idea. 1 thing that I noticed is the mural... almost looks like an Egyptian mural, and Cats were venerated like royalty in ancient Egypt... do you think they might have been hinting at this? Or is it just my brain making connections where they aren't?

Just saw your edit. And I can see what you mean with the body (I appreciate the visual aid). But you could argue that Misija's ancestor's body changed when she took the blood of the queen in her veins, changing her body to look more akin to a Female Hrothgar, but keeping her Roe height. 1 think that we know about Eikon possession is that it makes you taller, not shrink you. This can be seen when Misija summons her and she is almost double in height. But we did not see the same event happen with the human form of Ysayle which remained at her original size. From that, we can conclude that the FH body will look the same as that of the Queen but have the same height as how the mural portrays it.

With the head, though, it has only been shown from a front-side view. We could draw the lines on it and make it more visible, as you said: the human jawline, chin, bottom lip, cheekbones, eye placement and brow ridge are represented, but being from the front it's hard to make out the lines and how shadows place itself on the face to give a more 3D look. The body has them, but the face is very bright, leading to a very flat face, looking too humanoid. This leads me to 1 of 2 theories:
1) They only have the idea of what the body will look like, so are artificially brightening the face (giving it 0 shadows) in a hope that the details will be muddled enough that they won't be seen.
or
2) They are planning to give them a humanoid face with no snout. Which a lot of people, myself included would not be happy with.

The best scenario is the one you described of them having softer features with a smaller snout.

You're the one who thinks that picture looked like a male with boobs (which calls into question your ability to see). There are enough variations there to tell differences between the sexes, like in real life with humans and lions.
