this is example of how strong BR are even at low ranks,

grinding party @eft camp, BR consists of WS>WS>thunder II

it is alot of fun when executed right and fast, but i feel it can do alot better and more attractive if it includes some kind of pretty animation, right now they are just bland. (Tenzen's Cosmic Elucidation anyone?)

Ok I tested battle regimens out, they function fairly similarly to EQ2's Heroic opportunities and LOTRO's fellowship maneuvers except that they're completely opt in,someone sitting out wont ruin the chain for the rest of the people.

I can't see that Shift shortcut listed anywhere, that really makes a big difference to my opinion on regimens. Keyboard guide needs updating with this! Urgently!

I'd tried holding G and doing commands but that didn't work, I'd also been using the clickable icon.

this is kind of making evident that we should...probably make some video tutorials or something..

edit: why am i seeing a lot of threads claiming to explain things getting deleted..

When i gey in a party i always ask if people want to BR and 90% of them say they do noy know how to do it. I use a controller so to set a BR you choose what att you want and hit the Button that is the Emote button.(This sets the att on screen). Then to have it go off you hit the Menue button. its so easy all you do is hit 2 buttons to make it work.

For me my emote is X and my menue is Y

@ Nephera, I love your sig!

@ OP, thank you much! I've been a crafter and casual player for such a time that party battle mechanics are unfamiliar to me. Shifting gears a bit and quite eager to try this out.

@ Frebaut, thank you for the gamepad method. I get me tingles on thinkin' o' tha mahhem I'll cause.

I will appologize before hand that I don't understand the "Battle Reigmen System" completely. I am a slow learner so please forgive me. :/ I use my keyboard for the game so I understand that when I playing with my LNC job, I can hit "Shift+ (number)" and it stacks up my ability. I don't get how you initiate the "BR" when you believe there is plenty stacked up?

If someone can be so kind as to explain it easy to understand language. :/

    Thanks for the help. ^^

The first person in the stack can press G to initiate the regimen, once enough abilities are stacked.

Each person can only stack one ability, so battle regimens are not something you can use solo.

That is a fantastic Idea you should make a thread about it and tag it for SE, not to mention it would just be cool to do regiments with your companion. They may need to add a quest in for it though, probably around rank 30 would be a good time to learn how to do BR's.

BRs are alot easier to do than WS's in ffxi once people learn the process and communicate in parties. your also not limited to what skills u can use or how many skills can set off a chain. i do agree that it should be more flashier with a lot more animations like skillchains were.

but i feel like this can be a great opportunity to help build the community. each one teach one. soon, everyone will know how to BR and it will almost be a requirement to join a good sp/xp group lool
