thats a real round about way of proving their point.Kills, Deaths, Damage done, Healing done, are extremely good indicators of performance. Especially if you compare them to someone of the same job on the other side.
Now, I'll give you that Reaper is slightly different because it has some utility that is not reflected in those metrics. Like using your LB at the right moment to break some guards, get people off the Crystal and win in OT, stuff like that. It's also more of a single target job which will not dish out the same AOE damage as most other jobs.
It's more of a : If you know how to play the game, you can appreciate what a reaper did for your team kind of thing. Unfortunately, it is by far the job that is used the less efficiently (at least in NA). In lower ranks especially, a reaper is almost always a death sentence.
You can turn that into an advantage. Like yesterday, I was queuing up for the first time, saw a reaper that was absolutely useless. I switched to reaper and I would win each time I'd face them.
200k for me. It usually ends with them at 160k damage dealt and 300k damage taken.
Except you don't see any of those metrics until the match is over, at that point they're only good for knowing which player(s) you don't want on your team next match. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying the job is useless, but when the team screen pops up and you get a DRK/RPR/DNC/BRD/SGE and they get WAR/WHM/BLM/NIN/MCH, it's kind of over, unless the enemy is really bad or your team is godly.Kills, Deaths, Damage done, Healing done, are extremely good indicators of performance. This exactly, theres been matches where its just a steam roll because of this and i just straight up start /dance in the back XD200k for me. It usually ends with them at 160k damage dealt and 300k damage taken.

That, isn't a good thing. So if you get matched up with someone who you know is bad you either have to play twice as good to pick up their slack, give up or hope the enemy team is worse?
I was pointing out how you disrespected/dismissed Azuri just because they are from an EU server while boasting about your PvP background. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WOtAz1PZA8"The Navy Seal Copypasta is believed to have originated on the military and weapons enthusiast image board Operator Chan sometime in 2010. The earliest archived posting was submitted on November 11th, 2010 to 4chan’s /jp/ (Otaku Culture) board, in which the poster claimed to have seen the message previously on Operator Chan.
“Copypasta” is slang for something you can copy and paste to respond to people in various situations, although why you’d want to respond as a fake, grandiose Navy Seal we don’t know."
What I got from google, so sounded like it was a joke over the validity.
Welcome to FFXIV PVP.
Your other option is to play their job so you don't play with them anymore if you instaqueue back.
Regardless, in the end, everyone deals with the same MM. The best advice I can give people is to manage your expectations, focus on continuous self-improvement instead of short term goals and tamper your emotions. In the end, if the game's not fun, why bother?

I did that already. Kept getting a terrible DRG who couldn't break 200k damage, so I switched to DRG. Next game I got him on my team as WAR, I'll leave the results of that match to your imagination.
Self-improvement can only take you so far until you reach the barrier of useless teammates. The amount of games I've lost at 9-2-10 because my teammates went 0-4-5 is too much to bear. I don't know what short term goals I'm supposed to focus exactly, since a couple of bad games can drop you out of tiers now. I've been working on the emotions bit though, emotionally disconnecting myself from matches and have 0 expectations for the game mode really is helping. Can't say if that's a good or bad thing though.
