Damn right it is, and the alternative is an absolute chore. Don't forget these things are also done for relic weapons, and in huuuuuge quantities.
blu will never be a real boy/girl.
Blue mage is the only remaining fun caster, and as such I would like to see a level cap increase. For the new spells it would be nice to see more weird/niche things rather than just another 220 potency with fall off. Maybe a spell with fall up, that does 40% on the first target and 100% on the splash, could be fun in dungeons if things are unfreezeable/undeathable. Saintly beam was also a fun addition, but it’d be nice to see more relevant undead enemies to get a bit more use for it. I’d be interested if something dark flavour that gets bonus damage against sin eaters would be worth adding, it would make sense and be good for the blu80 content and amdapor city hard too maybe. The issue with new spells is the potency creep in the morbol fights.
I believe they mentioned, just before EW launch, that they couldnt get to Blu development this time around because of various delays and such. So likely Blu content will drop mid to late within the expansion now that they more or less caught up with their usual development schedule...
My eternal, endless support for this. Have a static load-out of 24 balanced spells per 10 levels that you must earn to toggle queuing with random parties and leave the rest as-is. So tired of seeing (excluding limited jobs) on every single thing in the game. Blue Mage didn't deserve to be a forgettable meme job. Don't make Quistis cry.
At least have Grand Delta as a limit break.

It's coming, we just don't know which patch yet... I'm inclined to think 6.4, because last BLU update was also that late, but it would be a pleasant surprise to have it o 6.3.A while back Yoshi-P mentioned that they would look at BLU if there was enough community request for it.
It's been a while with no BLU update, and in a search for BLU on this.... "very broad" forum search bar didn't turn anything up so... here's my request for a BLU update.
Sorry if this doesn't really fit into "DPS Jobs" but idk where else to put it since "other battle systems" seems to be completely separate from jobs altogether.
Also remember that they have BLU on the weapon design contest. I doubt they would do so if they didn't plan further updates to the job, and I bet we'll get those weapons on the next update.
6.45 will probably be the next update. That's when they did the last cap raise.
I wish they would change it to .15 to be honest... It would be great to have it earlier on an expansion cycle, especially because we usually don't have a lot going on until halfway through the expansion.
I hope we get more Masked Carnivale, that was some of the more fun content in the entire game.
