Isn’t that the thing in any game though? You have no one to blame but yourself when you burn through the content as fast as you can and suddenly find yourself with nothing to do.

I surly dont burn through the content, in fact i spend my free time these days mostly with doing other things than playing this game. And if i would burn through the content like some ppl that allready reached island level 10 after 3 days it woudnt change the fact that the playvalue of this island is limited, no matter how long a person needs to reach that point. Once you got your island to lvl 10, collected the animals you want to have, upgraded all the stuff and bought everything there is from the shop its over. There is no point in sticking further with this island (except they change something). Also its much smaller than the advertisment showed.

People that reach island level 10 in just 3 days will never have enough content to be happy, because they will burn through it anyway, while it would become impossible to reach the end for the more casual players.

Right now if you want every special item from this you will probably grind this for quite some time, especially if you cant play that often. If they just had increased the costs or made it so that you constantly have to maintain the crops and animals to get somewhere you would have destroyed it for the casuals while those with way more time at hand would still grind through it fast and complain that they have nothing to do.

Just look at grind like the tiger from hunts...it was such a huge amount that it will probably demotivate anyone that just plays it casually or that wants to do more than one side content while those that no-lived it, got it anyway.

so far reached rank 6 working on rank 7 so far a fun ride lots to do and gather.ps update just reached rank 8 renovating a workshop and gathering mats for more renovations.

I mean, the same can be said about, I dunno, literally any game. "the playvalue of [GAME] is limited, no matter how long a person needs to reach that point. Once you got [all the pokemon/all the Korok seeds/the ring to Mordor] its over.
