Are there any updates you can share?Frontier "answered" my chat but didn't respond to anything.
Anyways. While route tracing I'm getting problems communicating with frontier right off the bat.
I'm gonna try changing my DNS and resetting my modem.
You guys can try it out if you want. On windows open cmd and type in "tracert 204.2.229.10" (without the quotes)
My ping to the server is usually 15ms right now its averaging 30ms.
trace route shows Request Timed Out at 2, 6, 7, 9, 13 lol
Just adding to the pile. Reporting the same thing. Southern California, Frontier, extreme packet loss anywhere between 5 - 11 PM, happening since Wednesday.
Speedtest results come back normal, pinging to XIV's IP results in varying packet loss percentages, restarting router/PC/game has done nothing.
I submitted a ticket to SE as well. Hoping that sheer numbers will get them to do something sooner rather than later.
I contacted Frontier this morning to which they basically said it wasn't on their end and call the Router's company because it's probably on them instead. Which I doubt....
Contacted Frontier and they basically said it isn't on us. Hopefully Square fixes this before Savage release because it is impossible to play.
Located in SOCAL experiencing constant packet loss after 5:00pm since patch day. Already sent in a report so hopefully that helps
I used a VPN and it worked. It makes the game playable and I did a tracert and there is no packet loss. Used Norton built in VPN btw. If I take off the VPN then i get packet loss. It is definitely frontier at this point and something or one of the nodes they are routing through.
To give you an idea, without the VPN extreme rubberbanding. with the VPN i could play the game on GNB and MCH.

Aww, at least you found a workaround. This will suck though, if it's really a Frontier issue... Frontier probably wont do anything.I used a VPN and it worked. Same issue seems to be a routing issue/node Frontier is using during peak hours.
Can confirm that it's not just FFXIV. Valorant I'm getting rubberbanding and inconsistent VOIP
Yeah I checked by doing Tracerts to multiple MMO servers. They all came up with packet loss. Even youtube was buffering and lagging on loading thumbnails. This is 100% a Frontier Issue but like always their technical support has no clue what to do or how to even troubleshoot besides "reset router/modem".
