The thing is even if they were in savage they'd be easily obtainable, just wait an expansion and steamroll emIm sure there's a lot of people who were happy that then sfx armors can be easily obtained and not relegated to hard content, but I'm also curious to see how even more flavorful the savage sets would be.
Regardless, I would love for them to implement a toggle for the effects in gear.
I'm kinda sad they didn't make both versions dyeable, but you only get the glows from savage
I fust want a non shiny version...
I'm personally not a fan of constantly moving/shiny things on my gear and I LIKE how the gear looks, if not for the circles and rings and all...
The flames on the healer helmets are fine-ish, thats a nice accent, the rest is over the top.
A toggle like visor would be nice since I personally would use it if it was without the stuff burning all around.
This is prolly why they rarely do armor with effects, got those that complain and ask for toggles...
No is asking for the gear to be removed or animations to stop in general. I am simply asking for a toggle because giant moving circles that anyone can get in crowded cities are obnoxious and an eye sore to me.
completed all four circles and gathered 3 rings will wait till next week to run it again for more armor till then will get enough tomes for new gear.
It's just WoW cataclysm Firelands sets all over again. Everyone stood wearing the same garish flashy items.
"Look at me! I'm original!"
Its really a bit much - it looks cool yeah, but especially the orange ring makes me wait for Dr. Strange to jump out from it >_>
I'm sure they do, and that's fine. But I'm just of the opinion that rewards mean very little when everybody has said reward. Especially when I think said gear sets directly run counter to the game's established identity. Hence the Firelands comparison. Everyone got really nice looking gear sets for relatively little effort, and yet suddenly, looking good didnt mean anything because everybody looked that way.
They dont look like they even belong in XIV, you couldve ported it directly into a korean grindfest mmo, or world of warcraft and nobody couldve noticed. Considering how.much XIV relies on prior FF titles to support it's own weight, I dont think it's a good idea for it to betray it's own image for the sake of having people go ":O pog glow"
It isnt really a big deal, there are things that bother me more but such is the joy of opinions eh?![]()
Nothing is being betrayed. Naturally glowing armor pieces have existed since ARR.I'm sure they do, and that's fine.
