I blame Katrina.
Also: Go to the city where your guild is located. You'll always have leves there. If not, you're doing something wrong (perhaps you have some in your list already and you didn't notice?).

Why are people even arguing about this, fact is there isn't enough leves per each level range.
Ideally there need to be 8 leves for ever class across every level range, going too and fro from leve counter to hand in is a waste of time and/or anima if you use it.

You're right though... I think we can all agree it is time for some tweaks and changes....

We're not talking about 40+ as a whole. We are using 40 as an example of a level where someone would gain experience on leves. You cannot expect a level 39 crafter to do level 50 leves even if they would appear for them, which they don't.Wvr has "A Spot in the Shade" & "Fire on the Water"
Gsm has "Bluefog Induction" & "In Arms Reach"
Cul has "A Job Well Done" & "A Well Deserved Dinner"
Tan has "Hungry Like the Wolves" & "Morbol Measures"
Alc has "Preserving the Region"
Crp has "Restocking the Stockade"
This is a list of leves that are ONLY 40+, so it doesn't count the ones that can pop 35-45 or 20-45 and so on. Who gets boned? Just armorer really, but even they have a few randoms that can go up to 45 and even one that can go to 50, some crafts don't even get a 50. BTW, if you're curious, this took me about 3 minutes to make this list.... quit bein lazy.
A spot in the shade is a leve that will appear as level 30 3 times out of 4 and that 1 time is a level 40.
Blue fog induction, like a spot in the shade only appears as a level 40 once out of four times, the other 75% of the time it is 45. In arms reach only appears as a level 40 leve 50% of the time.
A job well done is a level 45 leve. A well deserved dinner appears as level 45 75% of the time.
Morbol Measures is level 50.
Preserving the region, like Morbol, never appears as a level 40 leve. Only 45 and 50.
Restocking the stockade also is only 45.
None of these would be an option for the hypothetical 39 crafter.

For real. You would think some people on these forums just argue for the sake of argument. Next argument: for or against genocide. Discuss!
Wynn you mentioned the abysmal number of high level leves, i point out a bunch and that's still not good enough? ya, kay. If you wanna reference a 39 crafter? Especially with the new system, if they can't suck it up for one level and find good 30-35 leves then they need to quit crafting. People know going in that crafting takes forever, then whine it takes forever.
To the person who referenced spending gil to level a battle job, can your battle job make (in theory not practice cuz no one buys anything) armor +1 with double melds and sell it for a million or two with 10 minutes of their time? Its been said for years, spend money to make money.

It IS abysmal. Why should anyone have to do lower level content just for the chance to do level appropriate content. You really can't lump in all crafts together. What if a person is only leveling one class, like Alchemy?Wynn you mentioned the abysmal number of high level leves, i point out a bunch and that's still not good enough? ya, kay. Going back to that level 39 crafter... If he's an alchemist, he has a 25% chance to see the only leve that appears as level 40: Provisioning Broken Water. That's it. Ok so let's assume he "sucks it up" after it doesn't appear and tries to do a level 35 leve. Well that same leve also has a 25% chance to appear at that level and another leve called Chalking it up has another 25% chance to appear at 35. And that's all.
Ok so none of them appear in those level ranges either. Now what? Should that level 39 alchemist be looking for level 30 leves? Do you realize how little xp that would be? And what if they use their leves on a regular basis and they only have the four leves the 12 hour reset gave them? Should they really be wasting one of those on something that will give them next to nothing in return?
Why is that ok? Why is the answer they should quit crafting if they are not ok with hitting a brick wall with leveling? This is not how other classes operate with their leves. It should not be how it works for crafters either.

Peptaru fact is you don't need to jump through those kinds of hoops to do battle leves so why should a crafter have to ?
Why is it that crafting leves aren't set out like battle leves
1~
10~
20~
30~
40~

This pretty much right here is most of the problem. I get that there shouldn't be tons of leves at every level range for the sake of the pace of leveling but I think 4 leves consistently is more than reasonable, for each level range. No other class type has to do lower level leves to reset the ones offered for a chance of getting leves for their level range. Crafters shouldn't either.
