    lol welcome to how extremes were back in 3.1 and 3.2. The devs actually expected the playerbase to be able to do mechanics back then. After midas they learned that the playerbase is actually terrible at this game and can't handle doing mechanics.

    I can't wait until thordan extreme get's the unreal treatment.

    I mean.. it's a "new" fight. P1S and P2S, one person messing up means a wipe too for most PF parties. So again, don't see the difference. In extremes, I believe for S&S synched you would run into the same shenanigans.

    Seems like you should go out and improve while you wait for more people to clear lol. There were plenty of unreal prog parties for us in Crystal DC last night, so YMMV there.

    The most recent savage tier is shockingly easy for a savage tier (probably the second easiest savage tier we have ever had) sephirot feels like it’s about equal to P2 because that’s a roughly accurate assessment, it’s not because sephirot is too hard (he is balanced to be how he was in 3.x when our jobs were 40x as complex) it’s because the most recent savage tier is too easy

    Now I’m not against the idea that there is a massive gulf of content between normal raids and extreme/unreal but this is exactly where this content should be balanced to, complaining sephirot is too hard is not the way to go, instead complain there is nothing in that content gap except maybe BA

    The final part of that fight where 2-3 mechanics are going off at the same time will be glorious. I'm not a great player by any means but even I thought the Unreal Weapon fight wasn't too difficult, especially with the tank lb3 cheese during the final part, lol. I remember clearing SephiEX back during HW back when everyone went to the mid left or right during the tether/AoE phase during 2nd phase. Blew my mind when I saw people running to the front and sharing the small safe spot during that phase, lol.

    I dunno... As someone who knows their own limits and doesn't touch ex/savage/unreal at all, maybe I shouldn't say anything, but...

    From what I've seen, we normally start seeing groups clear these fights in a few days, to at most a few weeks. Now consider FF Eleven,
    where there were a couple of bosses that went unbeaten for five to six YEARS. That's the kind of thing that crosses my mind when I
    think of 'ultimate difficulty level.'

    Imagine the current playerbase playing the harder extremes and savages with how much more complex the jobs were back then

    Ain’t no way you were mindlessly spamming broil and summoning seraph for every second raidwide back then

    To be fair absolute virtue was tuned to be actually impossible to kill, every time someone found a cheese that was designed to kill AV the devs would patch it and consider the kill invalid

    AV wasn’t hard he just wasn’t fair

    I learned this fight back when it was new. Took me a long time to get a clear, took me even longer to get the mount because I may have figured the fight out, most others I dealt with hadn't. Sephirot EX is particularly hard.

    Yeah I also remember going for that super small safe space, gotta keep that uptime lol.

    Right? I was surprised they chose to bring back seph for unreal because its the second hardest EX fight behind thordan imo. I probably cleared the fight around 100 times back in 3.2, it was an absolute blast back then with HW jobs. Some of the most fun I ever had playing FFXIV.

    Jobs were only complex in heavensward, when they overtuned everything. Like, literally everything.

    2.0 things were a lot less complex.
