Frankly I'm glad they're putting in more challenging content. Hopefully it'll encourage those doing it to push themselves harder and improve to be able to beat it. Could always use more of that these days....

It's not that challenging though. The fight looks tough because there's usually something going on, but the actual cognitive load for the fight is really low. I'd argue that the fight is easier than EX1, just because there's less stuff to think about.

Skill level varies person to person, all imma say. What's easy for you could be equivalent to pulling out their hair to another. I personally find it a middle ground between challenging and easy but the guy in my group yesterday dying four times to the same mechanic would probably think otherwise.
Having green debuff and go to orange or orange and go to green is not a skill issue.Skill level varies person to person, all imma say. There's a difference between the individual mechanics being easy in terms of things we've already seen and are not complicated by nature and a whole fight being easy.
Overall I like the difficulty because it doesn't come from 1-2 obscure mechanics that are designed to bait you the first times you see it but can be broken down to a simple step but because the mechanics come in fairly quick succession. They took fairly basic mechanics like stack/ spread paired with cleave/ donut, flares, tumults, baits, air bumps and aligned them in a way that constantly gives you something to do. It has higher individual responsibility but a very forgiving dps check.
While Ex 1 and Ex3 each had one more obscure mechanic that was simply designed to bait you into thinking it's difficult while the underlying pattern was still fairly basic, I like the more straightforward but busier Ex4 better.
And I personally found Ex1 a lot easier because there wasn't as much going on. I spent a lot of time just standing still and doing my thing and Ex4 is overall busier. It could use a few tweaks here and there but overall I think they hit the mark with the fight and I found it fun. So far my favourite Ex of this expansion. Bonus points for the fight not taking itself seriously and instead of being all dramatic and epic, you have a hair jokes and funny animations if someone failed a mechanic like getting yeeted back on tangles or knocked up from air bumps/ tornados.
I see what you did there and I approve.Skill level varies person to person, all imma say. What's easy for you could be equivalent to pulling out their hair to another.
