I'm confused, Doesn't the quest start in Old Sharlayan,

In Endwalker’s Main Scenario, you’ll eventually be able to access Old Sharalayan
This in turn means you need to be level 80 to enter Regardless of the quest being level 1 you needed to get at least one job to level 80.

As for the time it takes. That is why there are jump potions.

I been paying for the game since 2.0 even in 1.x If you just started out and want the newest shine thing put out the money or the time.

The request is to reduce the accessible level, and naturally to place the unlock in an equally accessible location. Y'know, since devs have control of those sorts of things.

I can understand them gating unlocking your own island at having completed the MSQ, even if I think it's overly restrictive and should be available earlier. What doesn't make any sense at all is limiting even just visiting other people's islands behind the same stringent requirement.

yea, they should have make it so you can visit early... that said, its already done. doesnt matter what people post, this is a post ew content and its gonna stay like that forever

They've already said that people can visit your island much earlier than they can get their own. You only need to clear ARR 1-50 to be able to visit.

I do feel that the unlock location should be in a lower level area. Locking it to the purchase of Endwalker is fine, but actually having to go through the entire MSQ like that for this seems...excessive.

Servers are under stress it appears with endgame completion. Servers like Balmung are getting "Please try again later". Developers understand they can't support the entire community right now and locking it to endgame completion appears to have been a good choice until they can expand their server capacities.

I think saving Eorzea from a Garlean invasion, breaking down incredibly sophisticated Allagan tech and defeating an Ascian would earn us an island. lol Or stopping a thousand year conflict. Or freeing multiple nations from tyranny. The list goes on prior to Endwalker. I could keep going if you'd like.

And then she admits that actually Merlwyb was trying to start a settlement thingy anyway and she just applied for it, AKA dobbed you in for a whole lot of work that could have been done by other people.
