Majority of Issues are outlined in the many other threads below this thread. However to your point, yoshi p did in fact play blm in cc which ultimately resulted in one of the most ridiculous buffs we've ever seen. That buff alone was very telling in the grander scheme of pvp balance ineptitude.
Death Is Only The Beginning....

As Monte said, that led to BLM being buffed into oblivion before being slightly nerfed again. It's obvious no one on the PvP team actually plays PvP if they're buffing/nerfing jobs based on winrates. Literally nothing about SCH or AST warranted those nerfs, but since they had less but better players than WHM, CBU3 deemed it necessary to nerf them and buff WHM.
They're absolute jokers that are completely disconnected from the game mode and seem to base all their decisions around personal preference (BLM) or statistics they take at face value. Hell, it took them four months to make it so DRG couldn't be bind, heavy or half-sleep during their LB, shit like that should've been fixed before launch or on the first patch. Can't forget PLDs still running around abusing cover on Onsal either.
AST and SCH were better than WHM. WHM was just a walking Imp every 30s meanwhile other jobs actually had more than 1 functionAs Monte said, that led to BLM being buffed into oblivion before being slightly nerfed again. That's what made WHM extremely valuable for single target bursting though. It has an unpurifiable Pacification every 30 seconds and a laser stun every 60 seconds, how can you add any more to this without being over the top broken?
Yes WHM's impact is easy to notice but once people cover/heal the Imp player to save them and when people actually spread against your LB what do you do then? The numbers for WHM were really small on all the spells before this patch and other healers did way more things

And yet it was still the most commonly played Healer...
SCH is absolutely useless if you don't have a team. You can put a 10% HP shield with a damage buff on allies, a 10% damage down with a DoT on enemies, lower enemy healing by 25%, and lower damage taken by 10%. That's it. You can't burst anything, you can't do anything by yourself. You can buff your team and debuff the enemy team, but if your teammates are useless, that's it, you've lost, because there isn't anything more you can do for them. I saw it all the time while climbing up the ranks last Season, where I did everything right but would lose time and time again because my allies were incapable of targeting the same foe, finishing weaker opponents, or aiming at problem players (I saw so many people ignore the casters). SCH could only help if you had decent or good players on your team, and most of the time you did not or did not have enough of them compared to the enemies. The nerf to SCH's support was completely unwarranted.
