To put things into perspective: Guild Wars 2, an MMO that released 10 years ago, has a cleaner user interface system both for transmog/glamour/appearance changes and dyeing outfits.

World of Warcraft's transmog system, while it lacks dyeing altogether, is another good example of how to design a clean system that saves appearances of gear. WoW's system was modernized after Guild Wars 2 released.

It is silly that FFXIV lags behind other games in what is now considered by many players to be a basic component of character customization in MMOs. The glamour system is a convoluted mess, from the prisms needed, to the awkward dyeing and saving of colour schemes, to the armoire + dresser + plate combination. This system is primitive...
Its both funny and ironic that Yoshi P has been quoted saying how much he likes WoW transmog system and wishes a similar system was in place here .. yet here we are applying bandaids to glam capacity instead of that.

To make things worse, WoW improved their transmog system by end of Legion/start of BfA, yet all XIV could do is double the glam cap.

But that's alright, you people can continue buying megashibas and the training bra mogs, maybe one day SE will have a spare couple of dollars to let a dev apply yet another bandaid.
