Ninja at 66 feels more complex than Samurai at 90

SAM has always been incredibly easy to pick up since SHB. It's called having a low skill floor. But the skill floor and ceiling are definitely not the same level for a lot of these jobs and Samurai remains to be one of them.

Clearly you don't know the class or the consequences of the 'crazy cool animation' being taken away: No synergy with 4 other roles for an entire patch cycle (and right before new endgame content no less), rushed changes in that a meme rotation in Yukikaze Hagakure spam was doing just as much if not more than their intended 6.1 numbers, and radio silence after lying; saying they'd take feedback to decide the direction of the class. As for Tenka Goken, if their aim was to truly make the class dumbed down for casuals; they failed in that as well. Standing in the center of a half dozen aoes going off is not conducive to the aforementioned.

I knew you were subpar in Crystalline Conflict at best, but these PvE takes explain everything.

Pretty sure I and the other billion SAM players told you why it was important to keep that skill and others, over thousands of posts and hundreds of threads, but keep acting a fool.

People in these forums make the wildest claims sometimes.

Remembering mudra is not difficult. Lv 66 NIN has 2 ninjustu that even matter in single target and 2 for aoe, and all you have to do is pay attention to your trick attack or doton timer to know which one to use. Hardly anything about lv. 66 nin can be optimized as long as you keep your abilities on cd.

Lv. 90 SAM requires you to position properly for casting iajutsu while dodging mechs, knowing when damage is coming to maximize Third Eye Kenki regen and damage mit, and use Hagakure to properly align your abilities to their maximum potential. SAM is very deep at 90 if you look for it. Critting, btw, does not make you any more skillful at the game, it just means you roll rng better which is out of your control and entirely in the game's code to determine given how much savage aim you stuff into your gear (which also doesn't make you skillful).

Samurai literally feels no different at level 90 than it does at level 50, it's unintuitive, clunky, and just plain unfun to play these days. Roulettes still put me to sleep but at least Mudras give me the incentive to stay awake otherwise I can't do them.

You actually nailed the feeling for me. It's like a level 50 class. NIN at level 70 at least, is a richer experience than SAM by far. Learning the intricacies of lining up mug, the skill that lets you cast 3 ninjutsu (forgot name), Dream within a Dream, Mudra reset, and making it all work out and stand still at some point as if it were a caster is really satisfying. It requires execution, thought, adjustment. It's not brainless. That keeps being built upon later too, I've just got to level 80 on NIN and don't regret it one bit. Where as I have not played SAM at all after giving its disgraceful state a try.
