Will past emotes tied to merchandise ever be sold again?

I just thought the feel of the Ultima statue felt well built whereas the Omega one felt a lot lighter and of a cheaper plastic. Holding the 2 in my hands is extremely noticeable and that's not even going into the sheer detail on the Ultima one. It's one of the best statues I've ever bought.

There's a huge difference between the first batch of Omega statues that were shipped and the later ones. If you do not have quality issues with your Omega statue, you -- like me -- likely were far enough down the shipment list that you got your statue after SQEX came down on the production company like Rhalgr's hammer. Thus, you probably got one with the quality we'd expect from these statues. But from what I heard, and the reaction videos I saw, it sounded like the corner-cutting that the production partner engaged in even involved using cheaper materials for that first batch (as well as the highly-publicized... uh, let's go with "imprecise" paint application).

It was a really unfortunate situation all around. And if Asako's statue was from the initial set and yours -- like mine -- was not, I wouldn't actually be entirely surprised if their statue felt "cheaper" compared to the Ultima one. :/

Don't get me wrong, when it's sitting on the shelf it still looks nice, it's not something I'm going to be holding up close anyway. Can't wait for more of them.

The question is that will the people who bought said item for said emotes complain that their purchase is cheapened if SE releases them at a fraction of the price. Is it justified since there is no figure tied to it? Do they have a point that rare items should be rare?

I think the fact you get an emote or even a minion way earlier than others justifies it. You didn't buy the figure just because of an emote, yes? Then you shouldn't really care much about the emote either.

If you want the emote that bad just pre order the merch when it appears on mog station. It's usually up for pre-order 6+ months before release. The older emotes and statues are pretty much legacy items for legacy items like the Cait Sith preorder bonus. No need to re-release them.

Back in ARR i REALLY wanted the Dalamund minion but the Blue ray CD it came with Was not available to people in my country, I also cannot buy a lot of statues nor art books as they don't ship too my country.

I would be more than happy if they added the emotes and minions to the store, maybe 1 year after the statue/music release, after all the minions and emotes etc are a bonus perk, not the main product with a bonus music Cd, art book or statue.
The "bonus" really should be getting to have the emote/minion etc accessible a year or so before everyone else, plus you get a cool statue/CD/Art Book.

So yeah, Please put them on the mog station SE, its long past time on some of them, i doubt there are many players with Dalamund still active or the Ultima emote that came with the statue (you cant even get anymore).

I would love the floating emote forget what that was a bonus for. I'd definitely get that if it were tied again to another release and if it were account wide.

Ultima was definitely the nicest statue they've ever done. The other 3 are nice in their own way, but Ultima is beautiful. Omega was closer to Shiva/Odin.
