I'm quick to call out the "white knights" myself, especially lately, but I'm not really seeing any of that going on here. What I am seeing, however, is opinions. Some are agreeing with you, at least to a point, others not so much. Welcome to posting on a public forum.
You aren't pole dancing in that quest. You just go and do you race's dance. There's nothing perverted about dancing for other people. Yes, others are on the stage pole dancing, but we don't know their situation. For all we know some of them are actual citizenry who want to dance like that.
Or they actually enjoy pole dancing.
So you aren't going to engage with my actual points and are instead going to try to dismiss the argument without engaging it?
Putting aside the assured and childish notion of "no-one has brought it up before so you are wrong", when I asked around the servers I am in, many of the players I asked did find it deeply uncomfortable. Particularly the female and gnc players.
What they're saying is that it's OK to have slaves dancing for perverts as long as "our" character doesn't need to jig for them. Funnily enough, people are always comfortable with murdering innocent animals and slaughtering legions of enemy soldiers for laugh and/or personal benefit (even though the average Garlean fighting the WoL is like a human with a pointy stick fighting Superman) but this kind of stuff is too much.
If the perv was a woman, i'm sure this thread wouldn't exist.

I guess there are many triggers in this game. Without diminishing your uncomfortable feelings, your trigger is a rarely mentioned one. I think with millions of players this is the first time I've seen it mentioned.
I am curious what you thought of Gegeruju in Costa Del Sol, or maybe Rowena and her many indentured slaves? She's a quite nasty number who even forces the girls to change their names to show they are owned.
So, a general question for you: Should the game be scrubbed of every trigger for millions of diverse players?

Yeah its not really "white knighting" which tbc I can have a problem with, when its me raising an issue with something I took issue with because of my experiences. Rather then arguing on another demographic's behalf.
What is annoying though is that if one argues about how you felt its "just your poor feelings and its only you so wah" and if one "white-knights" then its "well it doesn't even effect you so why should you care, lol just virtue signaling".
It almost seems a lot of this more toxic bent of the internet culture has defense mechanisms in order to dismiss any criticism of something they like out of hand without engaging with it via inconsistent qualifies on who is "allowed" to have a problem with something.
