I would say no for the same reason Canadians and South Americans pay their subs in US dollar rates. The game isn't officially supported in that region so they are not going to have regional pricing for Ukrainians.

This, as a Canadian, is why I rarely buy from the SE store. The music Blu-ray may cost $40USD, but shipping is another $30-40USD, and then there is the customs fees that need to be paid of $25CDN. Their store is a major ripoff if you are outside of the US.
It's not much better in Europe unless you live in France (IIRC that's where the EU SE Store is located)
Yeah, sure why not?
Doesnt matter. It's still there in black and white for you to see. What more in your face proof do you want? If they're not going to give out free subs for a worldwide crisis, why do you think they'd do it for this? Some things can be figured out with a little common sense.
I feel for the people there and would love for square to step up and help, but I think it brings up an issue. People all over the world are subject to uncontrollable hardships and the question for the company is how can they reasonably draw a line on when to help by lowering sub cost.
I think a better solution is for us players to help where we can. We can buy time cards for people who are struggling to pay. Make a Ukrainian friend and reach out a hand to them.
Don't start me on the decommissioning of ringhals.Maybe a controversial and unpopular opinion but I don't think we should give certain countries special treatment. Especially optional game subscriptions. On that token, should SE rise the sub fee for Russian/Donbass regional players?
Having demolition timers on pause is one thing but giving discounts for certain people, that'd just be virtue signaling.
Also, a lot of European countries struggle now (maybe NA too) with the economy, sky-high food prices, and electricity such high levels we have never seen before (mostly cause the EU has been naive and relying on Russian gas and terminated the nuclear power which is safe and reliable) and relying on Wind and solar power. Fossil fuel is outrageous high as well, at least by Swedish levels where we have to pay multiple taxes on gasoline and diesel. List goes on.
We import dirty coal power now. The green party really won. /s
Just... make a couple of free login campaigns more often. Anything else sounds unreasonable.
And I'm speaking as someone who has been negatively affected by the dollar going nuts.
I think this is probably the better solution than waiting for SE to cut fees for them. If you want to support Ukrainians, help them directly and don't wait for a corporation to hand out good will. They almost never do if it's at the cost of their business.. Making a sub reduced/free would severely cut into their business considering how many people - that are not Ukrainians or suffering from IRL hardships - would take advantage of it.I feel for the people there and would love for square to step up and help, but I think it brings up an issue. In the end, stuff like this just comes off as virtue signaling and no amount of scolding people who think "this isn't worth it" and labelling them as selfish people will help you, man. It's a drop in the bucket, but help people in hardships directly. You are doing your part by doing so.
