The emote was the bonus from buying the figures so I think it should be sold in the mog store. I'm kidding, to some people the emote was the main thing and the figure was the bonus. If only I can justify paying over $100 for a emote.

wouldn't surprise me if they put them on some special moogle treasure trove one day
or go on mogstation as "deluxe" emotes for fifty dollarydoos
you heard the devs and GMs , it wont happen ever again .Two of the best emotes in the game, IMO, are the Omega and the Shiva emotes. Both were sold with really cool statues that are no longer sold.
Will these emotes ever get put into the store so we can just buy them? They're both so cool and it's a shame the only way to get them is buying the statue from a reseller $200+ and hoping the code wasn't used.
Are there other emotes like this that people would like to see be purchase-able?

inb4 someone comes in "I paid $250 for the emote, I didn't even WANT the statue" to justify why a limitlessly reproducible digital item should never be made available again in the history of the human race. Speaking as someone who did get "exclusive" time-limited ingame goods from physical purchases, please yes rerelease them on the mogstation for the same price items of their category already go for. I bought an OST cause I wanted the disc and case, or bought a CE because I wanted the physical goods and see no problem with making the digital EXTRAS available again for those that couldn't get the first time around, especially years later after the novelty has worn off.

I have most of the emotes (hesitated on Omega because of the complaints and I regret that) but I don't mind more people having them. Having said that, they really need to do another run of the actual statues because I liked them and an improved Omega release would be appreciated. I like their designs.
Separately, the region-specific promotional emotes and mounts still being locked is really frustrating.

I everyone could buy the omega emote could you imagine what Limsa would look like?
I mean, where's the lie though? We all know very well most people who purchased that only wanted the emote. The statue was just a bonus.inb4 someone comes in "I paid $250 for the emote, I didn't even WANT the statue" to justify why a limitlessly reproducible digital item should never be made available again in the history of the human race. Let's say they do decide to release the emote in the mogstation at a later date for a reduced price. They would lose money. People would just wait to get the emotes and not waste their time with a $250.00 statue. The statue is the only way they could justify a $250.00 emote.
That's how the world works unfortunately. People with more money will always have nicer things and there's nothing we can do about it. Exclusives are exclusive for a reason no matter how limitless and reproducible the item is.

So, let me see if I am understanding this right.I mean, where's the lie though? We all know very well most people who purchased that only wanted the emote. The statue was just a bonus.

They create a limited run of high-priced statues with emote attachments as a bonus. You claim that they're purchased entirely for the emote and that the statue is just a bonus and placing the emote at a reduced price on the mogstation will cause them to lose money overall from sales because players will just wait for the emote and not buy the statues.
I believe that collectors will buy the statues because its the statues that they want and that the emote is just a bonus and in the event said collector wants both the emote and the statue they'll purchase both when it's convenient for them. If the goal here is profit, then it's likely that the statues will sell-out as they're a limited selection to begin with (though it may take slightly longer for this to occur) and the sales made from the reduced price emote will inevitably earn a larger sum due to it not being limited in supply and a much larger population being both willing and able to purchase it.
You understood it exactly right. I said MOST people who bought this bought it for the emote only. Not ALL, because I know some people who are genuinely interested in collectors items but let's not pretend that the number of people who bought it for the statue, outnumber the ones who only got it for the emote. You know this, I know this, and I'm sure SE knows this very well, otherwise they wouldn't have to entice more people to purchase these items by slapping the best emotes in the game on top of them. So, let me see if I am understanding this right.
