I just skipped the cutscenes, did the course "with my eyes closed", got my stuff, and went back to doing sit-ups in Uldah for 4 hours. It felt like a waste in multiple directions.
In one direction, I never like the trite "emotional lessons" they try to squeeze into these seasonal quests. It would have been better to have a two-minute excuse plot of R'fhul turning up and going "cool, there's a new course, let's try it!" – he can still get a harmless bomb to the face and fall off and whatever, and make Majha fret, with no need to introduce new characters that do nothing but stand there.
And in the other direction, having introduced them, they're such non-characters. No names, no personalities.
Time well spent!
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.

I'm playing for the story so I don't want to miss it if they do throw in something interesting, or fragments of lore, or whatever. But their efforts to make the seasonal stories deep and meaningful makes them less enjoyable, not more.
