New savage raid gear has weapon and armour effects. Thoughts?

They want to better reward those who make HL content, it's always been that way.

And whether you like it or not, there are always people who like the horrible glowing armors of Eureka.

It's always a matter of taste, some people like the Japanese style, some like cross-dressing, some like glowing skin to show off in society, some like to see their avatar in sexy clothes, some like to dress in-game as in real life, etc.

To be fair, it's always felt weird to me that the savage weapons were frequently underwhelming (though when they were good, they were generally very good) compared to like... crafted weapons from extreme trial materials. Whether or not you like these specific glowy weapons -- and I will say, I don't like these ones half so well as the Asphodelos ones -- I do kind of like the idea of savage weapons which have a chance that you do not immediately glam straight over them.

I agree - I always wished the rewards could be bumped up a bit in prestige from the amount of effort you go to to get them. I was even wishing the other day that they'd include VFX on gear for a more WoW like direction and here we are, couldn't be happier. I hope they continue to go down this route because as an avid relic weapon collector, the last two sets were not that great.

Glowy equipment is far from unique. It basically a staple of MMOs.

It's "unique" in the context of FF14, where armor like this is a rarity. We have like one set from back in ARR with particle effects, and the Eureka sets which just kind of glow. They're broadening the style of gear available, which is a good thing.

Have you ever considered that people probably don't want to help you because of your attitude? Every post where Savage+ comes up, you just rant about how awful the content is and how awful the people who enjoy it must be, rather than acknowledging your own personal faults like the rest of us have done on our road to improving at the game. If anything, you've probably been ejected from groups because of your attitude.

If you want the gear, you have to do the content. To do the content before Echo, you need to have a certain level of skill and willingness to cooperate with others. In this context, 'Git gud', as dismissive as it may sound, is legitimately the solution to your woes. SE isn't going to change the content model to suit your personal preferences, so you need to adapt or accept the fact that you'll get certain gear an expansion later.

This is such a bizzarre thing to complain about. No one said you have to join toxic parties to do the entire tier. When I started savage I didn't want to deal with those people either so I lead my own statics. We simply didn't invite anyone that wasn't a good personality fit once we established our core. The same can be said for PF. If I want to PUG, I make my own PFs and will kick anyone that either A: lied about their progression level, B: is a toxic weirdo, C: severely underpeforming. Make your own groups and control the culture, it's not everyone else's burden to do it for you.

Most content in the game is made for casual players, they even decided to release tomestones a week earlier as to not upset the casual playerbase. Most good glamours are also obtainable by casual players. I'm not sure how that makes us raiders spoiled brats. You'll also be able to obtain a version of this armor that isn't dyable just by doing the normal raids, which anyone can do.

They're releasing tomestones the same week they usually do, they pushed savage back a week by the request of savage players who want to have a week to do the story and normal mode without having to skip through everything and immediately start on savage.
Don't try to make everything about some casual boogeyman.

I love it. Hope they continue to do something new and a bit different with savage gear. It feels good to be able to show off some new glam with a bit of bling after the fights.

So I'm more than happy to see something different than they usually do especially after being kind of let down by the leveling gear when endwalker released.

The alliance raid gear is super awesome too.

I expect it's not something everyone will love but as long as they keep doing new things at some point hopefully there will be a bit of stuff everyone can enjoy.

I hope they add some glowy stuff in the future that isn't super edgy cause I'm not particularly hyped about these. Happy for people that are looking forward to getting these, though.

You know it doesn't have to be that way.

If you genuinely wanted to learn and asked for help, there are hundreds of people who would be happy to show you the ropes, teach and bring you along into content. I help people all the time. Instead you've attacked people here to the point where you're disliked, then you attack them more for disliking you and the cycle continues.

It's self-inflicted. You're clearly more angry at yourself than anyone but lashing out doesn't fix it. You can rant here all you like. No one will care and we'll all go off to farm our shiny weapons and have fun raiding. It's an open invite, it's not our fault you refuse.

Weapons looks better than most relics , the MNK looks sick and all the armors too.

I guess people who turns their WOL in to some CK,Nike propaganda will hate it. I mean it's cringe enough to wear sneakers in Fantasy game.

The tragic thing is that people would still be willing to help them improve but they are so deep in their hole at this point that they cant get out.
