You should do maps with a group of friends if you feel it's too expensive. It's not that rare.
but i need bad luck protection and bad rng protection so i'm guaranteed to get all the exciting fibers i need to glammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
And then suddenly real players end up wondering why they can't seem to make enough gil through regular activities and instead have to resort to manually acquiring everything themselves.
Many of the glamours from map materials have had brief stints in Quick Ventures. Usually they're still fairly rare but a couple of times SE has gone overboard and prices plummeted. It was a nice way to buy cheap, desynth for the materials to save inventory space then hold the materials until prices went back up to profit.
If they would do that in the first place for the easy to get items they want, they would find they have the gil to get the more expensive and harder to obtain items when those come out.

Not necessarily? I mean sure if you're a long time player you're just going to have hoarded up enough gil to do whatever you want but for newer players, they're playing catch up.
It's faster for a new player to grind the experience items at endgame and work their way down than for them to slowly grind their way up.

That's been the community's stance for a while now.I don't understand the thread's wording. Are you advocating for map bots or saying that we'll need map bots to work on these things for the price to get lower?
Regardless, botting isn't exactly necessary. Just patience, really. You can get a new map every... what, 18h? Not including the one from the child in Idyllshire. Just round up a group, say you're looking for the drop and keep at it until you get it.
Bots would have to do the same too, just with a lot less button pressing.
A lot of people who max crafters and gatherers only for sake of showing off they have capped characters, but if they have to craft or gather things they pout. And so they literally say they don't want bots gone/addressed just so they can buy stuff cheap in the market
