Blu Mage needs some serious re-tinkering if they're going to go the Tank/Healer/DPS route
First and Foremost: Abilities need to cost zero mana. No other caster has abilities cost mana and BLU shouldn't either. It's the main reasons they have MP issues.
Second, Tank stance needs some major improvements:
Lower the cast time on spells if not make them instant. Tanks need to be able to use their CD's instantly and shouldn't be casting them.
Chelodian Gate needs to be a Shield and not a stationary channel.
Mighty Guard needs a HP boost with it. Devour isn't enough. BLUs can barely survive tank busters due to their lack of HP and shouldn't be cheesing them with Diamondback.
Finally: Healer stance needs to remove the CD on Angel Whisper. The fact this is a thing is pretty ridiculous. A healer without a spammable rez. . .
Outside of that:
Triple Triad Cards need to be made available from EX Trial tokens. They're rarer than mounts with no pity system in place for them.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]




Change Aetherial Manipulation to just cycle through the three roles, rather than having to find someone else to copy. It's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance.
I agree with all of this regarding BLU. Tankbusters were designed for the mitigators being instant and ogcd... But then - it was something I've always suggested - but it seems that the community here enjoys this "handicap" as a Blue Mage skill ceiling, which means that you have to rigorously know the fight's timeline to be able to proper react to it with the tankbusters. I'm fine with high skill ceilings but I personally think in that specific case, mitigators are the base of a tank's job and their proper usage shouldn't be as taxing.

Remove Glamour Dresser and just replace with a glamour log so you don't need to hoard all your items.
Option to combine aoe combos on one button. Dungeons are the worst type of combat content in the game that we are still forced to do to complete the story and some jobs have 3 to 4 buttons wasted on aoe combos. Time to go.
Show buff / debuff timers on player list. Why it is not there already I don't know.
Extremely minor, but I like how all of the Shadowbringers zones are under the same menu on the teleport screen. When I think of where I want to go, I'm thinking of the expansion the area is from, not what continent it's closest to. Half of Endwalker zones being "Other" just makes me want to take all of them and put them under their own Endwalker icon.




If not that just place 3 NPC dummies that can be manipulated next to the BLU NPC. Tank Dummy / Healer Dummy / Damage Dummy.

MP management is a big part of that challenge, as is having limited access to rez. If you have to spam rez, you may as well reset because you're not going to do enough DPS to skip phases and finish the fight.
BLU tanking is definitely a labor of love. You end up being very stationary. It takes a solid player to really play that properly. There's so much anticipation involved. A poorly timed DB can have you taking full damage or standing in the wrong spot. The last update to BLU was actually the best, properly tuning all the roles.




Its not gonna happen with how the game is designed, but I would like a more expansive (but appropriately limited) CC
I want to be able to accept my dungeon regardless my current job and auto swap to the correct job I queued with.
