I'll admit i haven't ever checked, but i sincerely doubt any insecure japanese designer would design a bulge on a male character. The "package" only exists in your dreams.

Well this is a thread about the glamor and not the event as a whole. I'm surprised they had the jump puzzle in the drawing as I thought they were moving from that. If we are getting it back then a lot of folks will be happy.

I'm also a fan of gender restrictions.
This is a fantasy online game and it should stay that way.
Of course you can wear what you want, what you like...
But do you walk around as a man in real life in high heels, fishnet stockings and a bikini? Or another skimpy outfit?
There is no Alliance raid without a Hrothgar or male Viera wearing B2 stockings and shoes, or a maid outfit or some other ugly revealing outfit.
The same applies to female characters :-), who walk around in bikinis 24/7/365, even if it's snowing and doesn't fit into the game at all.
Has it ever occurred to these selfish people that not everyone wants their sexual orientation imposed on them?

yah to be fair it's just speculation on my part
purely based on the splash art I would assume the jump puzzle is returning with random explosions (similar to the Cliffhanger GATEs in the Gold Saucer) that can knock players off the course

I kind of wish they would expand the summer event to more then "time for a new bikini".

If you don't count the Hula skirt (2020) -- and I do not -- the last time bikini bottoms were offered was part of the Endless Summer Set (2018) which I missed because I started later that year. I would dearly love to be able to earn the older event sets but lol, nope, Square's gotta shove them into the cash shop which is not just expensive but painful if you have more than a couple alts.

That said both appearances should not be gender-locked or change appearance based on gender.

Absolutely not. The "traditional conservative viewpoint" would see people like me and my loved ones forced back into the closet or dead. No one has any moral obligation to meet them with anything other than naked and explicitly hostile contempt.

Being hostile to anyone just gets you more hostility and not acceptance.
