    I would prefer not to introduce more buffs into cards. It would be especially not appreciated if anyone suggest removing redraw and AST ends up having to select between multiple possible buffs. If you want to RP , by all means do do, I don't want my job performance to rely upon tying upon "reading the fates" and RNG. Tie it to pretty stars for animations though, by all means.

    Consider introducing an improvement such as what we have in PVP where we can at least get an insta cast of our choice, it could be a DPS or off of benefic. AST is a step up from other healers but there is still too much spamming of a single DPS skill.

    1. Remove Draw
    Draw is an archaic button that doesn't do anything. Most other jobs have their resources built up automatically over time and only AST and SCH (Aetherflow) need to press a button regularly to build up their core resources.
    Just draw a card automatically every 30 seconds, let them queue up to 3 cards, and show them like Tetris.

    2. Combine Astrodyne with Divination
    These 2 buttons are always used together. There's no point in separating them.

    3. Change all cards to AoE
    This will make the burst window much more comfy. But if this happens, seals need to be completely removed and Draw won't need to be "charged".

    4. Remove seals / Revert Minor Arcana to 5.x
    It's a mini game that doesn't work anymore with Minor Arcana revamped in this expansion. Either get rid of them or give us back the Minor Arcana that at least worked

    5. Make Lord & Lady separate abilities
    If Minor Arcana is reverted, the 6.0 Lord & Lady can become separate abilities on a 60s cool down. Remove the randomness because a random heal is a rubbish heal, especially in high-end contents.

    Everyone dissing on MA in 6.0 but forget that in 4.0 MA was effectively a replacement for undraw. If they brought back 4.0 MA they could have easily removed Undraw because it does everything you want with no downside. It's always live when you draw a card. You can MA any cards that will mess with your seals. You also get a heal/attack. Undraw does nothing except waste your card that you drew.

    Personally I think they should revert back to the RR mechanic since that was much slower and effectively on a 60 sec timer (you needed to RR a card to buff next drawn card), which lines up with their mantra of all jobs tied to the 60/120 bursts. I'm also assuming they will fix how Cards work where Play cannot be placed on the hotbar but rather, just overlays on top of Draw.

    If I were to fix the cards I would infuse them with the AST's gcd heals while giving the RR effects. Example:

    -Draw a card and apply its effect to the next gcd heal used. Gcd heal is instant cast with reduced potency.
    -Benefic II = double potency
    -Helios = aoe
    -Aspected Benefic = double duration

    This effectively turns Cards into a Eukrasia but as an ogcd 30 sec recast. Good or bad that's your opinion but the idea is to put cards on the gcd to free up the ogcd spam and get a small heal in addition to card buffs and make Synastry more viable. Also, bring back Time Dilation.

    It's worth keeping in mind that in optimised play, a 3.x AST would click off card buffs mid GCD cast. I pretty much dropped AST and refused to touch it for several years after that because I suddenly had a huge influx of bloated hotkeys thrown at me and had to start using valuable oGCD windows to use them.

    I'm going to make it very simple:

    The rework of the AST is getting delayed because it's a very big rework.

    Chemist will be introduced as a healer and AST will become a DPS caster similar to Time Mage. In this fashion, Gravity will get a rework as well and Gravity III will be a thing. And surely other skills like Time Dilation will make a return.

    And that is what I do think it's going to happen, hence, the long time needed for the rework because AST will practically be a new job.

    We will not see this until 7.0 (next expansion).

    On a side note, not sure what they're going to do with DRG but my bet is Lancer will be discarded and DRG will get the dragon pet as it had in FFXI.

    I think some OGCD heals just need to become damage OGCD. Every OGCD just seems to be a delayed heal, some with damage. (Earthly star, macrocosmos) AST can go a full fight without ever casting a healing GCD.

    Make draw and play the same button, get rid of stacks
    Turn major arcana into a damage button with a cool down. No need for another heal.
    Another attack button. Make it combo off Malefic, similar to PVP. To save on bloat
    Give it a movement buff? Similar to SCH/SGE

    We haven’t had a healer worth playing since 4.5 so I’d say you are gonna be waiting a lot longer than that
