    I'm really sorry mages ; ;

    Until the last couple days I've mainly leveled DoH/L and some DD classes. Getting archer done meant I needed to get CNJ to at least 15 so that's been my goal tonight.

    WOW, does interrupt while moving suck completely hard.

    I had Cure/Protect I use while leveling other classes and I never really noticed - and I didn't think it was such a big deal when they made the change, but now that I'm doing it full time... I'm practically interrupted at every turn. I can't fight and cast, I can't move, I get interrupted by any knockback - I get interrupted, I swear, doing nothing!

    It may have seemed natural in XI but it seems completely counter-intuitive to how this game is built and operates. This game is designed around the concept of moving while fighting. I don't think I could ever full-time a mage class, I would throw my controller against the wall!! I don't know how you mages stand it. Respect for you guys putting up with this. I had no idea.

    Macro /facetime in spells, rarely have issue. Plays mage just like before.

    It is better this way for 2.0. I am willing to take some "troublesome" spots here and there when reminding myself that it will work fantastically in 2.0.

    Now SE needs to get rid of stationary mage syndrome. Standing around, forced to not move, to regenerate MP is a pretty archaic mechanic and needs to go away.

    When PvP gets put in the game how easy would it be to hit your Ice spell and kite every melee class/job in the entire game running in a circle against a snared player and casting spells over and over. They would never catch you and you could just spam spells...how is that fair? It would be the "I WIN" button in PvP and a lot of PvE. Mages wreck right now as it stands.

    i do get your question. let me say i originally played this game on keyboard and mouse. my keyboard went out and i ordered a new one and moved to my controller until the new one arrived. the controller played so much better that there is no way i could go back to the keyboard once the new one arrived. i know i am not speaking for every controller user though, but i'd rather just put the game away and not touch it again as i would play it without my controller.

    but this is where you are incorrectly assuming i am asking for it to be removed to go back to the old way permanently. that is not what i am asking for at all. i understand the move is being made for pvp, but pvp is not in game now nor do i see it being in the game before 2.0 due to server limitations and lag issues. what i have asked for multiple times in this thread is fix the issues that we have now if it's possible with the engine we have in place or remove it until the new engine goes in so it can be correctly implemented.

    it doesn't have to be all or nothing. it can be fixed(if possible) or removed until the fix is possible. once again, i am not asking for it to go back to the original way for the long term.

    they can still kitte you even stand still and cast though, they dont need to run and cast for that ._.

    Not sure how you kite someone without moving lol regardless point still stands, it would make them even more OP.

    The problem with this is that if you stop and cast right away, the server simply does not recognise that you have stopped, and hence no casting. You need to wait 1 sec or more before the server allow you to cast. That's why they added H to face target, because if you press H the server is immediately notified that your character stopped. It could have been much better if any time you press a spell, your character will automatically do what H is supposed to do, stop moving. Then you can cancel spell by start moving again.

    Moving cancelling casting is not a pain, what is a pain is that casting does not stop initial moving.
