anyone foolish enough to go to a website with the promise of free gil deserves to get their account stolen, it only takes a tiny bit of common sense to stay safe on the internet

Maybe it's because I'm still half asleep, but I spent a solid half minute wondering how Cid/Nero would help them steal my account.

Likely an account stolen by this exact scam.Same things been happening on Jenvoa, i logged and instantly got a tell saying i could win "750 million gil", yeah right lmao, insta black list.
Have these people been reported, or is it all bot activity? At least it was just in the say chat before, now people are really out here scamming in our tells too...

I laugh at these scammer losers thinking I’d get on that link to give them my login info when i got a tell from them on a compromised account lol even I know the link is deadass fake. still, people are falling for these “gil giveaways”. The link is obviously fake at the end of the url .
•You click it cus you think the link is “legit”
•You proceed to enter your login info thinking you would get those amount of free gil
•Account login and security gets changed once they got in your account preventing you from logging in
•Watch your gils disappear to sell for real money when you get your account recovered, then they send tell to other people to lure them from * insert compromised account name here* , your fault.
• Dont want your account compromised?Don’t be stupid to fall for it. Be smart about it.
