People need to watch guides for dungeons now? What? Can people just not do a run on anything blind? Yeah if a farm group...know your stuff but anything else...why get a guide?

Ok...let me give some simple mentor advice:

    1. When in doubt...follow the group. If you see everyone run to a specific area like they are a herd of deer who just got spooked...you need to follow them.

    2. It is TOTALLY OK to be hit with a mechanic from time to time. The game is VERY good at showing you a new mechanic. They usually do it once and if you goof it then it's fine. You take a bit of damage and you carry on. When they do that mechanic again later on...NOW it usually carries a penalty like a debuff or whatever. It's telling you "Hey! I had the kids gloves on the first time...you need to watch for this." Every. Single. New mechanic is done like this. Any time a newish mechanic is done that starts off with a bang it's probably because it's a variant of a mechanic you've seen done a hundred times before but it had a slight twist. Example...a stack mechanic that hits multiple times rather than once.

    3. Mistakes are ok. Just learn from them. It only gets aggravating when you refuse to learn.

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.

Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.

To me that's the biggest thing. People are so quick to attack people when they fail its only going to succeed in making scared to do anything let alone simple content. I think for me personally this game is terrifying when you have to do something new and it shouldn't be. I've just been on the other end of that kind of toxicity for years. Sure now they can't outright say anything to you, but they can still kick you. They can still not heal you and let you die. Just because someone isn't openly toxic it doesn't mean they aren't. I don't know to me it's player expectations vs the reality of random.
