I just wish the game would give a warning as to how extreme trials are endgame content and a serious challenge and not to just blindly queue for them.I've had it a few times, mostly in mentor roulette. The common factor is people blindly queueing extreme trials. Happens the same way every time. They die a few times, I ask if they need mechanics help, they say yes, I start explaining, they read ten words and their eyes glaze over, they say "whatever, that sounds too complicated, just heal us through it" and pull again.
Because so many people seem to queue for them like that...

To be fair, that's also because NA and JP approach instanced content totally differently. JP uses party finder/static groups to learn fights, then random queues when they already know them. NA sees the random queue and likes the idea of facing fights blind with a group of fellow blind players so the experience is "fresher". The Japanese playerbase doesn't get the mindset of blind random queueing.

I'm not sure if it was changed in the re-vamp, but at least the ARR-era quests that direct you to the harder versions of trials used to (and maybe still do) explicitly say to complete them using Duty Finder in their quest description. I know for me back in the day, that made me first not even think about PF (as a sprout I wasn't even familiar with how it worked), and then when someone mentioned it existed, it made me question if I'd still get quest credit doing it that way since the quest itself said to specifically use DF. If the description is still like that today, I wonder if it would help reduce instances of DF extremes if the descriptions either didn't specify DF or specifically said "using Duty Finder or Party Finder" to give newer players the reminder/knowledge that PF exists. To be fair, that's also because NA and JP approach instanced content totally differently. Duty finder is how you que for all content pre-made or not. Even if you make a pf you still que for it via duty finder once full.
.furthermore, I believe the original ex primal came out before PF and also had quests attached to them, while later EX's are 'talk to yoshi-p's over inflated ego in game to unlock' with no quest attached.
