BAsically anything a RDM has. I have been trying to play CC on RDM as it's my only comfortable job, and IT SUCKS!! The short cast spells take so long in such a quick environment, I can barely cast, and to get into range to even start to, I get jumped, and either focused down so fast or silenced it doesnt matter. I find myself focusing on the melee skills to get ANY damage done and that isnt something a caster should have to do. The healing aspect of RDM is so useless that it may as well not even be there, and the only useful skill they had got nerfed to be ineffective at all.
Red Mage literally has some of the highest damage in PvP, what the heck are you talking about?BAsically anything a RDM has. I don’t really look at the dmg. I just look at it, “are we capable in winning the match? Focusing on your DPS should be secondary.” I can play SCH constantly buffing, DoT’ing, having the highest DPS on record, but still lose the match. Is the DPS that important?
RDM casted spells are just filler till you get back to your melee phase. RDM is not a "caster" its a hybrid class and the job absolutely slaps hard. Learn where to do your shifts and when to either silence or root and focus on who to burst down in your melee phases. The entire point is to jump in, pick someone off and then run away and burst them with an instant cast after you backflip away.BAsically anything a RDM has. TBN. I don't know who thought that a job that gets all it's damage by killing itself should have such a weak shield that is also a dps loss. Salted Earth is also trash seeing as it barely pulls people in and by the time the bind goes off they're well out of it. Honestly. DRK in general is useless.
You just stated why it's bad in most situations... =/
Honestly the health cost is pretty dumb for Warriors considering how weak the Warrior is defensively and how weak Warrior's heals and health shields are after it was nerfed. At least Drk is designed around doing more damage at lower health with invuln and good healing to make it sort of work.
I really hope they get rid of the health cost on Orogeny and Onslaught tbh. It's just clunky, unfun, and it makes the action not worth using most of the time.
You could also just say you don't know how to play Dark Knight, because every single thing you just criticised is either a you-problem or you completely misunderstand the value of these abilities.TBN. - The Blackest Night in PvP cannot be and will never be a DPS loss, because you never invested a resource you spend on damage in the first place. You only GAIN on it breaking.
- The Blackest Night's 8000 HP shield is plenty for its' 15s cooldown, especially in conjuction with...
- Salted Earth. It is more than just a draw-in + Bind catcher, this is your actual mitigation which also grants you a regen while in it. the draw-in is there to force the fight where you want it to be.
The HP-spending mechanic of Shadowbringer -> Bloodspiller is what makes Dark Knight a high-risk-high-reward job in PvP while being functional even without spending a lot of HP thanks to tools like Salted Earth and Quietus.
You are no traditional stun-bot, you are a job that can fluidly jump between doing a ton of damage and tanking a fair share of damage, depending on what the situation allows.
