Isekai + Fantasia?

On topic of would I be my character. If mods etc were not allowed, I'd absolutely go for my bun alt as the one, Avarnia would both be someone I'd like to meet and someone I'd be fine actually being.

Regarding my bun alt reasoning: being tall is something I enjoyed, living for 300 years and being magically adept just by virtue of my species would be quite useful. I barely wear hats as is irl XD

Hello all, time for a six month bump.


For those of you who've participated in this thread; has your opinion changed? Have you become more attached to an alt that you'd rather be? Have you used a fantasia since your last post here? If so, what did you change to?

For those of you discovering this for the first time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the subject.


As for me, I wouldn't change anything about my boy. The only difference I have from before is wishing my wife would incarnate in my Femroe alt, because....damn....uh...yeah....

I actually don't know what I'd do. Obviously fantasiaing into a guy, especially a bunny boy would be interesting. But there's other reasons to go for that too besides my slightly dirty mind.

I would hope that with all the magic and technology that there would be birth control in Eorzea but even then. There's a lot of creeps in FFXIV and if they're all getting thrown into the game as well, I'm really not entirely sure I'd like to be a woman anymore. There are days when I think the real world is scary enough but in a fantasy world where there's millions of other former now real characters who now likely have full control over their powers and abilities with full use of them even in the city states... I think the playerbase is degenerate enough that thrown into this setting they could definitely turn the entire land into a lawless mess of chaos where you wouldn't trust anyone.

I'm not going to say that fringe elements or Bad Apple FCs wouldn't be a thing; they will. However, consider this; even though the PC adventurers are super powerful individually, we'd also be in the vast minority. If we created our own city-state, or moved to Idyllshire and Revenant's Toll, it would certainly be strong, but being surrounded by entire nations with thousands upon thousands of soldiers, who also have magic and such, would check our power.

Who would supply us with food on the scale needed to keep a city with thousands of adventurers fed? The NPCs. Sure we could all gather some ingredients ourselves, but the sheer scale needed would check that.

Call me idealistic or naive, but I think the majority of players-turned-residents would self-police. I'm not talking just about significant crime or military actions either. It's easy to be a creep in the game as it is now because we're outside of it. Once you have to deal with real-life consequences of actions, and the fact that the Miqo you just harassed could easily be more powerful than you, people will probably calm down. I know I, and all my friends, wouldn't stand for abuse of power at all.


I *highly* recommend checking out Log Horizon, especially season 1. It's the one isekai show that addresses the real effects of having hundreds/thousands of players warped into a game at the same time. It's a lot more about the socio-political than it is the Super Powered Main Character Takes Over The World With His Hentai Harem.

I would stay the same as my avatar pic there, but want my hubby and kid to come with me (they're also cats, and natch my cat is bonded to hubby's cat already, so would hope that sticks too). Also our pet cat has to come too, maybe it can be one of the cat minions I have?

Also, getting to pet and look after my goodest boi chocobo Colin would be awesome. <3

If your hubby and child play too then they'd be warped into the game as well; let's just hope you all logged out in the same place...

Both my characters have a black cat minion to represent my RL kitties specifically for this reason.

You're far too naive and delusional.

The rules you set up make it so that there's no need for real players to follow the rules. If they die, then they simple resurrect right? In order to truly prevent such awful criminal behavior that would consist of many players abusing their superior powers to rape and pillage anything they want, we'd have to capture them and permanently restrain them. We can't jail them for they'd simply kill themselves and respawn free.

To further complicate this, you have to understand that the decent players of this universe would always be on the defensive. It doesn't matter how strong my character is because I can't be on my guard constantly. Chances are I would be locking myself up inside my house at night and I'd be keeping a weapon close by in reach but even then... There's always the chance that you get taken by surprise by some sicko. The damage is done regardless of what happens then and even if you kill them for it later, they'll likely always have as many chances as they want to do it again.

Even beyond that though... if you look at the real life formations of governments, then you'd realize it's not really that simple. The forming of most of the governments in the world is nothing short of a miracle. It's not some simple undertaking and the idea that a bunch of random players thrown in there could actually come to form their own organization and abide by their own rules is a bit ridiculous.
