Wanted: Tomestone and nuts item refunds

Even then, it's a 50/50 chance they will give it to you. I got kicked out of my in game house due to being unable to log in due to RL issues and when I asked for an item back that I lost in the demolition and reclaimer they more or less told me to get bent and then would just send me a copypaste reply when I tried to escalate it so YMMV.

Have they ever given items back in that case? Might be policy because of the somewhat widely known fineprint of timing when it comes to demolition and stuff. Not that I don't think one should be free to request their item restore be used for whatever, btw, just asking!

No idea, I just know I have heard that GMs can do something like that once but according to the GM I was talking to they don't do that at all. Stinks too since it was more of a sentimental item than anything else. :/

Is there perhaps a complication in reclaiming a housing item because the game stops seeing it as "your" item and it becomes "the house's" item?

(Hence why on the positive side you can use the house to pass untradable furniture to a housemate or FC member.)

QoL changes like this seem to amount "Hold my hand and don't let me fall. Put padding on the ground in case I do" The problem was solved in a couple of posts. All it requires is a little thought and organization.

This is probably the most hand holding, baby's first, easy mode MMO on the entire market and a huge number of players demanded it be that way and won't have it change for anything. Then those same terrible players launch into self-righteous speeches about hand holding of all things over a single harmless QoL feature that helps with the very occasional slip up. Like they've never slipped up or been hand held on anything in this game.

I swear, I lose all hope in the community more every day...

I used a one time item restore in FFXI when I dropped 99 Ordelle Bronzepieces.

That was worth about three million gil, which is like saying more like.... 30 million gil in FFXIV coinage. You're darn right I used my one time restore for that!

Buying the wrong tomestome gear did make me unsub for a while so would quite like to see a refund system.

I don't think anyone's ever done a refund system. I doubt they'll start. The main problem with having one here is the cap on tomestones. It takes a few seconds to confirm your purchase.
