Honestly, people falling over each other to guess a number was somewhat embarrassing. Not to mention the cringe fiesta that is the OP's latest reply. "Strength of mind", lol.

I'm amazed people fell for a contest held by an obvious forum troll. The OP had been trolling quite a bit lately even before this "contest".

It just goes to show how greed can blind common sense and why those "300m raffle" scam tells actually work.

So, the guy who complained about a youtuber doing a giveaway:
-does the very same thing but without the 'please sub to my channel' bit. Why? To show you are a better person than the youtuber or something?
-proceeds to haphazardly announce where he is because it is 'obvious where'.
-not only that, you announce your more specific location approc 15 minutes ahead. Because everyone os obviously glued to the forum.
-You also apparently logged in only for that giveaway and then logged out because you were waiting too long.
-And then you seem to log in again after my remark to apparently give 24 milion gil to 1 person.

Show the receipts. a few of us were also there. OP wasn't online. Literally could not wait 5 minutes so claims like 'he actually did give me something' are iffy at best considering the circumstances I listed in a previous post.

I don't feel Liam has an agenda here so it's not a target on them, as I've read a number of sincere posts from them (not that I track or memorize the forms), but troll and other means of removing people's credit are too common (and probably my biggest pet peeve).

Post count, join date, grammar, lore, w.e.. that stuff always reads to me like "I have the secret sauce to dismiss all your contribution / desire", but it's not a secret sauce.. it's just stinky and usually not helpful. Though I do think the "I give gil to women" thing was pretty funny, and the delivery dates are obviously spur of the moment, but w.e doesn't really matter to me.. I'm more fascinated they actually gave some people gil hahaha. Not that I needed the gil.. I just wanted to see if I was lucky lol, not as rich as OP but at 100 mil I feel fine to buy what I need if I need it.

For really poor people, easy gil tip is just to check each NPC shop you come across for market prices (take a screenshot if you don't want to check then / via website). It's not the fastest but when I was poor it was easy teleport money for doing nothing but walking 2 feet to an npc and then selling it for 5x value. Playing the market and stuff is faster, once you have the money and patience. On topic of teleport, do the ARR weekly B rank hunt- buy teleport tickets from your GC. Thousands of gil saved for like 5 mins of work.

Let it go, TBH. OP's fishy, but some long-time posters did say they got gil so I'm inclined to believe at least some people received it. I wouldn't call it a scam per se because it wasn't a case of someone running away with money (although time was wasted). Show's pretty much over. Nothing can be done. Some might even assume you're salty because you didn't win.
