Only thing I can think of is maybe bigger statues n bulkier movement. I wouldn't call that niche myself, I'd say it appears niche when looking at what most in the game gravitate towards

Yeah, there is no shortage of pretty and small(er?) Woman in FFXIV. So FemRoes are a pretty big outlier and Niche by comparison.
But Im curious if Theo is trying to say FemRoes dress a certain way, or is it merely that FemRoe are the Niche aesthetic. Its very vaguely and weirdly worded.

    +1, very much agree <3
Every Race is cool and pretty in its own way. But it is more interesting and special to see a FemRoe then another Miqote.. No hate...I started as one, but they are rather over saturated.

The following is my assessment of femroe.

2/4 faces I'd consider using on my female characters. While limited, they do have a few long hairstyles that are superior to what the original female models have from the ARR days.

However, due to the size of their bodies it is difficult for them to look like the other races in terms of a feminine silhouette and the way that clothes hug their bodies. Their proportions are simply too big. They don't look good in the NieR sets that I took so long to grind for so I refuse to fantasia my alts to one.

I do not believe we need to repeat this issue when it comes to female Hrothgar, when it is still possible to have a strong athletic build with a Viera body. Female models should embrace feminine characteristics and the ideal heroine fantasy. This is largely what Final Fantasy players prefer over the sort of "body type diversity" seen in games like WoW.

The body used for the Bozjan queen is an excellent choice for female Hrothgar and paired with a lion-like face and hairstyles of sufficient quality, it is possible for them to be successful at launch compared to the underwhelming reception that male Hrothgar had. It is important to compromise in this regard rather than fully embracing the nicheness of female beasts because of the target audience being Final Fantasy players whose interest trends by this point are largely predictable.

In any case, we need new female leads in the main cast. I miss Ryne, and neither Y'shtola or Alisae are all that impressive in terms of visual design. The fear of clipping must be overcome so we can have characters with Venat-length hair stay on as long term party members and their colors need to be diversified.

As far as female character creation goes I want bigger breasts, bigger butts, more thick body shapes like thicker waistlines and bigger hips/thighs, all we got is overly buff roe women or super skinny chicks.

And I'd like the option to make a female that looks like she's in her mid 30s to mid 40s, WE NEED MILFs.

As far as dudes creation stuff goes a Native American & Punk Rock style Mohawk would be cool.

I'm all for adding longer hairstyles to the game, but it is again very strange to frame a need for more interesting women with so much focus on how feminine and long haired they are.

We already have a bunch of pretty conventionally attractive women in the game. Whether Y'shtola is your cup of tea or not, she's the poster girl of the game and is apparently popular enough to justify sticking her on a bunch of merch (right down to an ungodly creepy mad expensive doll).

Like, again, I'm all for variety, but I'm super not a fan of it being pushed as a need for some notional "ideal heroine" who is... what, exactly? Pretty, skinny, and ladylike? Why? Like yes sure add some variety and new personality, but why are those traits the focus? Of all the things that could be improved or rounded out about the main and side casts, those really aren't the first things that come to mind for me. At all.

Because those are the traits that I would like to see in the women of the main cast. I want to see heroines like the ones I listed in the op, not more Moenbrydas.

Ok, fair enough. I entirely disagree but fair enough.

And yet, here I am using Face One for a FemRoe and prefers it over the other options. And while yes, there's some glam pieces that just don't seem to work (and of those, iirc the pieces I reject because of how the torso looks tend to be armor), I'm laughing that you've singled out the Nier sets when those pieces I have overused for glam even though I'm not a big Nier fan. I don't gpose often and I only remember to document new glams maybe 60% of the time, so I'm missing several examples, but I could put together a quick and ugly collage in MS Paint of uses of Nier - not so much the second tier, but I'm hopelessly addicted to the shoes. And the aesthetic is that cutesy female characters common to auri and miqo'te players - just that I want it for a tall girl (and of the many alts I've tried, the only races I haven't played and don't have an interest in playing as someone who pretty exclusively sticks to female avatars are Au'ra, Miqo'te, and Midlander.)

Yes we do. Because believe it or not, not every woman has the same Bodytype, not every woman in the world is some cute effeminate flower that has to look pretty in a dress.
If they used the MaleRoe body for the males, they should follow suit and use the FemRoe body for the Females. Everyone seems to have this idea that the only way Female Hrothgar will be "Successful" is if they give them another Dainty body. They can still easily make Hrothgar Females look good with the FemRoe body, and they should absolutely fully embrace the nicheness because this isn't another Human-looking Race. Be different, be unique. Even if the Roes and Hroths are the least played race, they still have a fanbase, and their design alone from the get-go is niche, so its not going to be popular anyway.

And as people like Denishia above me have proven, FemRoes can absolutely look good and cute. Just like the people who complain about the limitations of the Hrothgar, I think ya'll are more limited in imagination. Because despite how unfeminine FemRoes are, they can still look Feminine and cute and pretty. And despite limitations, there are still Badass and cool looking Hrothgar.

More Moenbrydas please. We need more Tough, badass woman with non-traditional Beauty, rather then more cute dainty girls.
The industry needs more of it.
