Reduce people's ownership who has more than 10+ plots

I think a voluntary program that rewarded people with something other than gil for giving up one or more of their multiple plots might free up a few plots. A gil reward won't be enough, you see, since gil is easy to get and if you own multiple plots you almost certainly have more than enough of it.

I think the most enticing reward for this might be land itself. SE could open up a few more wards and then offer a pre-release trade-up deal: allow people to trade up some number of plots for a single better plot in the new ward. Three mediums for a large, for example. Or two mediums and 5 smalls for a large. Or whatever numbers seem to make sense.

And there are other rewards SE could offer: free subscription extensions, for example, or just Crysta, the captive "currency" at Mog Station. Or maybe an exclusive Ex-Slumlord glamour.

Your gonna need more post like this and less post about people hoarding and breaking rules..when in fact they followed them and way for SE to not go back on there word.. Yoshi straight up said they would not take away houses from people who followed rules.

Interesting concept. One thing they could do as a start would be to allow alts to share a house with their main in addition to perhaps coming up with something like this. Elective demolition should at least carry the same benefits as auto demolition when it comes to recovering gil for the house itself.

Those of us who own multiple homes bought them because our alts can't even teleport directly to our own house let alone use it when they get there. This obviously was before 4.2 given buying multiple privates is not an option anymore. I have an alt on Mateus who bought an apartment in the same ward as another alt so she could at least avoid having to tele to the main city aether and so on. The apartment at least offers direct teleport to the ward and the apartment aether quick access to the house location. The frustrating thing though is once you get there the house is essentially useless can't do a thing with it. Even more frustrating is I can share that house with friends who have full access whereas my alt can't even use the mender.

It's why some of us will create a FC so that they can in fact share a house. I have 4 level 90 alts on Balmung who share a FC in Brimming Heart along with a few select friends. I have no interest in a personal there given that FC serves my needs.

Personally given the increase in the player populations I was surprised not to see housing restricted to one per account or even perhaps one per DC now that we can DC travel. On the other hand if that were to be a thing the ability to share even on other servers and DC's should be part of what someone should be able to do with any alt regardless of server given after all the house does belong to the account just like the alts belong to the account.

This defiantly needs to be added and also some type of shared bank would be nice example a small type of fc chest but only for your alts..Theydont have to make it that many spots even 10 or so.. tonight i had to get a fc mate to transfer some of my gil to my alts (I just moved back to NA)..I know some peopel who have alts on there friends list due to a old glitch must say im kinda jelly they can mail to there alts and add them to there houses

Yes that glitch at least offers alts the same rights as friends and they can in fact share a private house. It would be nice if we could in fact share a house with more than 3 people. Personally share should be for friends only with share rights automatic with any alt on your account. Being able to use a small chest to share between alts and even use Moogle mail should be a thing as well.

Sadly alts are treated as separate people and have little rights when it comes to anything including a house, mounts, glamour, minions and more. I personally do not seriously collect stuff even on my main given it's not worth my time given I can't really share any of that with my alts. It's kind of funny cause i have a friend who tell friends I don't have a main that all my alts are my main and this is so true when it comes to me.
